Vpn router
Jeg går ud fra du vil køre wireguard vpn protokolen. Jeg bruger wireguard med protonvpn på en Asus gt-be98. Stærk cpu og 2 gb ram Det er en god hastighed på downloads igennem routerens vpn. Omkring 60mb/sek i mit setup igennem vpn. Jeg har 1000/1000 fiber. Et billigere alternativ er ASUS RT-BE86U ro

Questions about Router options and features
Yes, other routers have much more functionality than yours. I use Asus routers with Asuswrt-Merlin, and it's incredibly powerful. I can set up three "guest networks" each for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I have one set up for cameras and IoT devices - they can reach my Home Assistant server and DVR, but they ca

Should I buy an Asus BE86U over the AX86U Pro to ensure longer life of firmware updates?
I got a RT-BE86U last February for this very reason, my older router fell off the update schedule from Asus, so I have demoted it to an access point, and got the BE86U for the main router. I like it, it works fine. My only complaint is that it doesn't support Jumbo Frames on the 4 port LAN. It is a

R7800 Failing, new router?
I like Asus for all-in-one routers, and since you are familiar with custom firmware, you might be interested in Merlin compatible models. Also, the prices of "BE" (WiFi 7) models have come down enough that you should strongly consider buying one, even if you don't have a lot of WiFi 7 clients right

Rural gaming router
Yeah, usually the router doesn’t help (a lot) with ping, but it can sometimes provide some relief in that department as well. Ping usually has more to do with how far you are from the data centers hosting the game servers you’re connecting to and a bunch of other variables. I currently have a Unifi

Should I buy the ASUS RT-BE88u an almost 2 year old router and join it with my RT-AX92U routers?
If the RT-BE88U is within your budget and you aren't concerned by its price, you could certainly buy it and use it. Especially in a wired backhaul AiMesh setup with the RT-AX92U units, where the AX92U units serve essentially as wired access points. In that respect it doesn't matter too much that the

Does Asus RT-BE86U have issues with 2.4 GHz WiFi?
Perhaps you already solved this issue and moved on to something else (if so, hope it worked!). If you still have the RT-BE86U and want to try something else, you could install ASUS WRT Merlin firmware. Alternative firmware, uses ASUS binaries but has some enhancements/improvements. Some people say i

Router Advice
I got a RT-BE86u to replace my AC86u and absolutely love it. Merlin flashed on it too which works flawlessly as usual. Not sure on prices in AUD, but it was £200 on Prime Day and was worth every penny, I'd have been happy even if I paid full price.

Asus router recommendation for a studio
Yea, it is more than you need but it is a very stable router and it would work well. The non pro version of this router’s firmware is at end of life with asus and is just receiving security updates. The pro version has the same firmware fork as the newer asus routers and is actively updated. I bough
