Install the VPN directly on the router, most proper ones support that. I've got the Asus RT-AX88U, 6 years old and working like a charm. That way your phone and TV are on the same network for screen casting, but you can also just use apps directly on the TV or Apple TV, since everything connected to

Home networking with 60+ IOT Devices?
The RT-AX88U Pro is powerful, but your unmanaged switch and mesh might be the culprit. The switch might drop the tags so the mesh node doesn't know which device belongs to which network. Test connecting the TUF directly to a LAN port of the AC88U: if it stabalizes it confirms this theory. Set the 2.

How did you setup your WiFi?
Your router, the ASUS RT-AX88U, is a good router to begin with. I use a TP Link Mesh system that's linked via Ethernet, which also works well, so the QOS in my case didn't make a noticeable difference, and right now I have about 25 concurrent devices cause my family is over and remote play and strea

Which Asus router ASUS RT-BE92U OR ASUS RT-BE88U?
I recommend ASUS whenever people ask. I have a previous gen RT-AX88U which still kicks hard. It only has 1Gbps ports, but can bind two to give 2Gbps. The newer versions support WiFi I don’t have on my devices, and there are a couple VLAN things mine doesn’t do. It has great range and works with mesh

ASUS RT-BE92U 1 Year On
That's a great download of your initial thoughts. Thanks a lot for sharing. I have a RT-AX88U Pro and the RAM on that is almost maxed all the time too. I've not had any issues with it thus far. I think I will make the plunge and get myself one of these soon.

Bell wifi sucks!
As someone who wasted big bucks getting all kind of wifi extenders to fix bell short range wifi issue. Best approach is to get a high-end Asus RT-AX88U Pro or GT-AX6000 router but Bell doesn't make it easy to make them work. Simple and fastest way is to get a USB adapter to get the most out it. Yes,

Help choosing a router for upgraded internet
Avoid the RT-BE92U for now. It may work for you, or maybe not. Search reddit for BE92U and you will find many posts about it causing issues. It may work better with ASUS WRT ("Merlin") firmware, but you want to "keep it simple" so that is probably something you don't want to try. And even then Merli

Should I buy the ASUS RT-BE88u an almost 2 year old router and join it with my RT-AX92U routers?
Good theory and that is likely contributing to the problem, if not genuinely causing it. Thank you for sharing that! Nice to hear the RT-AX88U is working well for you.
