In case TP-Link gets ban in the US, What other brands do you consider a good alternative?

I've had my Asus AX88U for almost 5 years now and it's been good and even still gets firmware updates. If you're trying to go with prosumer equipment, you'd be better off with Aruba Instant On than Ubiquiti.

Should I buy the ASUS RT-BE88u an almost 2 year old router and join it with my RT-AX92U routers?

I have an ASUS RT-AX88U that we bought several years ago and it's been rock solid. Not even using third party firmware. Practically no issues whatsoever. All of these negative ASUS reviews? I have a theory. ASUS enables DFS channels and 160mhz wide channel on 5ghz by default. If you live near an air

I fried my home router by being an idiot, tell me what I should've gotten instead for ~$130

I've been more than pleased with my Asus RT-AX88U. It has been far the best home router I've had at home and I've had networks in my house in the late 1990's.

Adding fans to my ASUS RT-BE92U

Some years ago, I had a couple routers that exhibited similar behavior, but this was after years in service. You're running a newer device which should not be experiencing these issues. My solution was to set the router one of those laptop USB-powered coolers with the dual-fans. I feel it bought me

Telstra NBN

Ah sorry, I read it as First 2 on my phone (aging eyes). I see it properly on my PC. Not sure, I haven't looked at recent routers, still rocking an Asus RT-AX88U, which has served me well. I'll look at upgrading when I want to more than 1Gbps

New Asus BE92U Ping Spikes

(Part 2 of 2) Option #1: Use WiFi 6 devices for both the router and mesh node. Replace the router (RT-BE92U) with a high-quality WFi 6 router. One example - ASUS RT-AX88U Pro. Released in 2023 so only 2 years old at this point so will likely receive firmware updates for at least another 3 years (pro

Current FT Version for (an older) Asus RT-AC68U

Thanks everyone for your replies and feedback. It gives me the confidence to upgrade to the 2024.5 without fear (beyond the usual) of bricking. I spent hours last night looking at new routers to supplement this one. Huge rabbit hole. It looks like Tomato is no longer easily maintained with the newer

ASUS RT-BE92U WiFi 7 Router review

The RT-AX88U Pro has the more superior antenna setup for the 2.4 and 5.0 bands compared to the RT-BE92U. Unless you’re experiencing problems with the router or if you really wanted to upgrade to WiFi 7, you should stay with your current router, because the processing power is still beastly, which is

Cheap Home Wifi router recommendations

Brand only matters for the ui you like. Ausu tends to have more controls, netgear is the more "user friendly", tplink is the half way point. Netgear tends to ship with netgear armor or what ever they call it. Good but annoying that once its on you pretty much have to do a reset to factory to get rid
