I've been daily driving Arch Linux on a 4060 G14 for over a year now and it's been great. Running Hyprland and using the nvidia-open-dkms. I recommend looking at the Asus ROG for Linux page as they have some helpful documentation for the G14. Have fun!

I will sound like an asshole, but the majority of “issues” you are seeing on this sub are over exaggerated. Basically, you will see a few types of “issues”: Type 1: OMG, my laptop is reaching 80C, G14 sucks, Asus sucks. Well, your g14 is designed to run up to 95C without much throttling. If you want

I downloaded g helper and removed the asus software that came with it and now it works great. There’s a YouTube video about installing g helper just search up g14 g helper and it should pop up,also go get the updates for the bios and all the other stuff on the asus website by using your model name,

The comments got some great tips! although for the 2024 specifically, you do NOT need to remove the fans, wifi card, SSD, or anything else to get to the cooler. The cooler for the 2024 actually sits on TOP of the fans, so the process is very straightforward. This video is for a different model, but

Install ghelper. It will fix all your problems. Before uninstalling Asus Apps do an update then uninstall all the asus apps. Do a custom fan curve also. My zephyrus g14 2024 rtx 4060 16gb ram lasts for 5 to 6 hours on battery on light web browsing and documents

I have a 2024 Zephyrus G14 and it's an amazing machine and had zero issue installing Cachy. Everything runs perfectly and I couldn't be happier.

I've been using Linux on 2022 and 2023 G14 since their release and I also used Windows in the meantime. First of all, remove Linux Mint and use Arch Linux (endevourOS or CachyOS are great) because any other distro is not supported well enough, especially ubuntu based distros which suck on modern lap

I’m new to Linux as well. I started with Bazzite OS. Installed asus utility- like g helper almost. Been on it 4 months now, only issue I have is when it boots I have to use the alternate option I believe because of which gpu is being used. Other than that I’m happy with it. Games run fine, a few app

This is a two part question. Technically the Zephyrus G14 can be used on your lap with the right settings in G-Helper (Eco-mode) with no issues. But if you want to game, the computer needs good ventilation due to heat which means you cannot use it on your lap in those cases. 🤷♂️

For some reason I thought you could not put an intl NIC into an AMD G14 My OG Zephyrus G14 has an AMD chip, came with an Intel AX200 card, and works with the AX210 I swapped in later so I don't think that's the case. Edit: Perhaps you are confusing with the newer Intel BE200 cards that are reported
