I do occasional video editing, a lot of adobe lightroom, and I did most of my computer science degree on one. I also have an Asus ROG G14 gaming laptop with a 3060 in it, which is more capable than the macbook, but for day to day stuff it feels like junk to use in comparison.

I put PTM7950 on the following with nothing but good results: TUF 3090, 3090FE (waterblocked), ASUS Zephyrus G14 3060, PS4 Pro APU, PS3 Slim APU, Switch APU. Not to be another redditor, but I’m grateful to have been suggested this.

Yup. Got a G14 ASUS laptop about 6 years ago. Got constant blue screens. There were many, many threads on r/ZephyrusG14 about it. Turns out they fucked up how the dynamic processor adjustment works. Had to modify power management in Windows and explicitly disable processor performance boost mode, or

generally, 34in monitors have 3440x1440 resolution, and the zephyrus g14 2025 has 2880x1800 according to the rog official website. As the caculation 'load' increases when there are more pixels, checking the total # of pixels could determine how demanding a resolution is. 3440 * 1440 = 4,953,600 and

If you are lame and don't wanna read the whole thing. An employee brought us the Zephyrus G14 on accident instead of the Asus TUF F16. It turned out to be way better for me, so I ended up buying it, good laptop 9.9 out of 10. Update: The Asus TUF 16 model was a 5060 with 32gb, It would not have been

Very unlikely, this is an Asus ROG zephyrus g14, not great for work and rough battery life - pretty much the most gaming performance possible built into the smallest frame possible, lots of overheating issues too. Unless this guy is an exec that got to pick their own laptop from wherever lol

I've been daily driving Arch Linux on a 4060 G14 for over a year now and it's been great. Running Hyprland and using the nvidia-open-dkms. I recommend looking at the Asus ROG for Linux page as they have some helpful documentation for the G14. Have fun!

I will sound like an asshole, but the majority of “issues” you are seeing on this sub are over exaggerated. Basically, you will see a few types of “issues”: Type 1: OMG, my laptop is reaching 80C, G14 sucks, Asus sucks. Well, your g14 is designed to run up to 95C without much throttling. If you want

Yeah, it seems like a rip off. But, that said, the Zephyrus G14 was first unveiled around March 2020 and the 16gb, 1tb, RTX 2060 variant would have been $1499. Plugging numbers into an inflation calculator, this actually seems about on-par

New driver seem to be incompatible with Ultimate mode . You can either downgrade driver (preferred) or exit Ultimate and just wait for an update form Nvidia.
