I accidentally got a Zephyrus G14 and it was probably the best thing that could have happened to me (this is a bit of a long story)
If you are lame and don't wanna read the whole thing. An employee brought us the Zephyrus G14 on accident instead of the Asus TUF F16. It turned out to be way better for me, so I ended up buying it, good laptop 9.9 out of 10. Update: The Asus TUF 16 model was a 5060 with 32gb, It would not have been

I have finally found the ultimate portable gaming experience (the most no one asked review ever)
Ai generated TLDR, after handwriting that entire post I didn’t have it left in me to summarize it as well, hopefully this gets the point across Wanted a portable gaming device to complement a high-end 5090 desktop, mainly for travel and gaming around the house Needed AAA + online games, good perform

Film student laptop recommendations pls
I daily an ASUS Zephyrus G14 and it handles video editing workflows really well. Good performance for Adobe Premiere Pro but I'm not sure about DaVinci, decent battery life that can last me around half a day of continuous school use, lightweight enough to lug around campus, and the screen colors are

Can I swap my laptop's display with a touch display?
i looked into this before - the g14 motherboard doesn't have the touch controller hardware built in even if the panel fits. your best bet is a portable touch monitor that runs off usb c. this asus one works well with the g14. swapping internal panels would need custom firmware that doesn't exist pub

just picked up this beauty
So normally I would agree with the clean install and even did so myself, but the g14 comes with Dolby Atmos license that you lose if you clean install. I would recommend doing a oobe bios reset, updating amd/Nvidia drivers, uninstall mcafee and myasus and all the Asus extras and use armory crate rem

G14 2022 state of linux support in 2026?
Works well. Same model running steamOS 3.8 https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/1s3idtg/fsr_40_has_brought_my_old_asus_rog_g14_back_to/ 16:10 screen doesn't have the best support yet, may need external monitor to install the steamos but works after that.

Cat knocked over a quarter of a glass of water on my boyfriend’s £2000 laptop.
not the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14/16 (idk which size it is) 😭 That laptop's specs are insane, especially that screen aaaaaa, either ur bf chose it deliberately or someone who's techy got it for him or helped him get it because that's an inspired af choice, even though its crazy expensive and somewhat ov

Any advice on this gaming and work setup?
Why not get a laptop? It seems like the obvious solution here. You have the money for a really nice one, normally going the portable PC route only makes sense if you're trying to save as much money as possible, but you have the money for a laptop that'll offer comparable performance to a desktop whi

Suggestions for a laptop (big screen, gaming performance, lightweight)
Have you looked at the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14/G16? Pretty solid gaming performance in a surprisingly light package, and the screen quality is actually decent for photo work The LG Gram 17 might be worth checking out too if you can find one to test - crazy light for the screen size but gaming performa

Zephyrus G14 (Plat White) purchase decision
For electrical engineering plus moderate gaming, I would think hardest about RAM before the color, honestly. I moved from 15.6 to 14 before, and the size change felt noticeable for the first week, then worth it if you carry it daily, but long CAD sessions are nicer with an external monitor. The plat
