The Asus XG32UCWMG has planned obsolescence built in and it's not even sneaky about it.

He is not making this up, and there is no need to be a reddit jerk. I had the same issue, it is a firmware bug. On Asus PG32UCDP, updating the firmware fixed the behavior. Hopefully a firmware update is also available to the XG32UCWMG.

For those who have purchased an OLED monitor, do you regret it or would you recommend it?

I bought an OLED (specifically the asus swift pg32ucdp, a WOLED) and I have no regrets, its been a great monitors, fast, sharp beautiful contrast. I had tried a mini LED before (the benq mobiuz ex321ux) and it was a disappointment and was returned and I bought the OLED. The only aspect of OLEDs I di

How control Asus OLED Monitor on macos?

If you bought pg32ucdp, display widget center from asus is what you want. Has DDC/CI support so you can control audio volume to external speakers. I have audio jack to speakers but also a asus falchion keyboard. Works flawlessly

Should I get a mini led or oled?

Someone said go mini LED, me personally Id go OLED, I have tried a mini LED (Benq mobiuz ex321ux) and then an OLED asus swift pg32ucdp. The mini led felt like a proof of concept, like in 5 years or so it would be a good idea, the OLED fells like the real deal, it doesn't have the raw full screen HDR

Well, since the awaited new Studio Display still sucks and is expensive af, what alternatives do you recommend?

This only applies to low-end monitors. I have the Studio Display and the ASUS ROG PG32UCDP 4K, and I use both side by side. With macOS, the ASUS is far superior—text is more readable overall, and the 240 Hz refresh rate makes the experience genuinely smooth. The Studio has good quality, but most of
