You haven't really described any use case that wouldn't be better served by a gaming laptop. For that same 2100 dollar price I was able to grab an Asus Strix G18 275HX/5080/32GB/2TB open box - excellent from Best Buy yesterday. The Z13 is neat but it's a weird middle ground, it's neither a laptop no

Yup! Had a ROG strix G16 with 4070. Debated if I wanted to upgrade it or go with an ally X. Due to 1080p, lower fps, and lower graphics settings I went with a ROG strix G18 with 5080. It looks amazing on the bigger screen and is a beast but I liked the size of the G16 more I think. Both gaming lapto

G18 2025 AMD/Nvidia owner. I tried Garuda and it was my favorite Linux/Arch Distro by far. The only thing that made me have to abandon it for a while was Nvidia releasing terrible drivers for the 5000 graphics card series (namely the 595 gaming ready driver-set) and Arch scooping them up like lemon

I have rog strix g18, and it is almost always plugged in. I'd suggest you to use it plugged in always, and unplugged if you can't access the charger. (better for battery health), limit the battery charge capacity to whatever suits you (mine is 40 limited to 40) never do anything intensive on battery

I’m sticking with native HDR on my ROG Strix G18 laptop. It gives that vibrant, saturated pop the devs went for and feels perfect for the fantasy vibe while I’m out exploring and grinding. No mods for me, I want to keep it simple and fully supported through patches. The RenoDX side looks cleaner and

I just got a freakingly clean ROG Strix G18 with an i9 13850HX and 4070 8GB mobile while trading it for my Desktop system worth 800-ish USD. I got so depressed when I was trying to buy a laptop with 500USD in pockey. There's no brand new laptop worth buying at that price range today. I ended up trad
