Best wifi extender with ASUS GT Ax11000 Pro?

If your FTTP NTD is stuck in the garage, don’t expect one giant router to cover the whole property. Even a high-end unit like the ASUS GT-AX11000 Pro will choke once you add 20+ meters, two walls, a wardrobe, and three doors. Wi-Fi 6 is good, but it can’t bend physics. What actually works: Stay ASUS

For you who went from AX86U-Pro or similar, please compare with AP7

no regerts. I came from 3 set of Asus MESH. 2 set of ROG Rapture GT6 as remote node and 1x ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 PRO as my main. my remote mesh AP7 in the garage can hit 1000Mbps while Asus only got around 300-400Mbps.

New Router Advice

How long did the GT-AX6000 last? Any idea why it "died"? If you like ASUS routers then the GT-AX11000 Pro looks like a good replacement if you are OK with WiFi 6. This review is especially flattering: https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/asus-rog-rapture-gt-ax11000-pro# How fast is your internet speed? If

ASUS AiMesh roaming issue – devices switching nodes causing latency (GT-AX11000 Pro + ZenWiFi BE500)

Then you paid lots of money buying the new wifi 7 routers only to stop the devices from do what they were made for roaming. Big waste of money should have installed more of the AX routers or range extenders.

I’m using 250MB down 50MB up for my internet.. Spent a lot of time and money

Networking in rental home with no ethernet ports

I had an Asus GT-AX11000 Pro that was expensive, but gave really good range to the wifi at decent speeds to locations around a 2300 sq ft house, and even some outside devices. It'll cost you about $200 right now, but might be worth it, particularly if you don't want to run ethernet. You could always

Need help buying my first router

First off, what's the speed your paying for? and Second, yes Wifi 7 is currently the best but you can get similar performance on Wifi 6E, Third you should not rely on Wifi for streaming, It's possible but there's alot of variables that can change how good your connection is, along with every device

Would the ASUS GT-AX11000 Pro be a good replacement for my ASUS RT-AC66U?

Yes, it's a great upgrade. WiFi 6 instead of WiFi 5. Tri-band (2.4ghz and two 5ghz bands). Much faster ports (2.5GB & 10GB, either can be used for WAN or LAN) and then 4 other gigabit LAN ports. More memory. Faster CPU. Increased security (with addition of WPA3 - clients need to support it to use it
