Microsoft reveals major price increases for all Surface PCs as RAM crisis continues

I used to stay on Surface because they were the only option for a proper dGPU in a 2-in-1. But now, Asus has such great alternatives with the ProArt PX13 and the Flow X13 - and for much, much cheaper - that I really don't see the appeal of Microsoft hardware anymore.

Any decent & recent 2-in-1 10-12" laptops?

ASUS FLOW X13. That's the only one I know of. They're not even making them anymore. But you can buy a used one with a 4060 or 4070. Expensive little buggers. I own an X13 with just the iGPU (780m). Nice. But kind of a big screen ASUS ROG Ally really. But great for portability.

Kde plasma can be pretty

Unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore; I bought a relatively new Asus. Depending on your laptop's specifications, it might be fine, but since I play games, I prefer touchscreen ones (Clash of Clans :P), I paid less than $600 for a used generation Rog Flow x13 2021 model, but it might be available f

Looking for an affordable laptop for my girlfriend, but lost in the options

I'll mainly talk performance, won't talk much about cooling and build quality because i've never had any of these chassis. I'll put the laptops in the order of which i would pick first (for gaming and also considering price) : Option 4 : Asus ROG Zephyrus : the CPU is OK the GPU is close to the best

What would you do for your daily laptop?

I've got a bunch of computers running all three OS's. With my daily backpack laptop I was in a similar boat with a Razer blade 15. Weighs a ton. Giantass power brick. Cost like $3k so I was always stressed about it getting stolen or broken. Started leaving the Razer in a pelican and got an Asus Flow

Battery bloated because of excess heat

Zandparts is the official authorized reseller in Europe, check how much it costs to ship to your location. https://www.zandparts.com/en/product/asus-0b200-03850000 You can buy the battery from here. It's not cheap because it's not generic and it's not used, it's new. Another alternative is A-accesso

incoming engineering student: thin-and-light laptop + desktop with GPU. good combo?

I’m an engineering student and I have the ASUS Rog Flow X13. It’s technically a gaming laptop but it folds and comes with a pen and I use goodnotes in it for everything. It’s got a dedicated GPU vs integrated (doesn’t make too much of a difference tho) and runs all my engineering programs really fas
