Is there a monitor with high PPI?

Check out the Asus ProArt PA27JCV, a 5K HDR panel with a pixel density of 218 ppi, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C, and excellent color calibration. For €700. To say that text is sharp on a 4K screen would be a lie; this resolution isn't native on Macs, unlike 5K.

Studio Display vs anything else?

Asus ProArt PA27JCV seems to be a good choice for a 27” 5K monitor. I’m also hesitating to buy a Studio Display because I also still use a Windows PC for gaming and I need a monitor with more than one input port. I’m afraid the new upcoming Studio Display will also have only one TB input. A drawback

4K 120Hz IPS (Dell UltraSharp U2725QE) vs. 1440p 280Hz OLED (Gigabyte MO27Q28G) for Mac Mini M4. mainly browser/email use

The Dell is probably the best option for your use case, but in your position I’d look at either the BenQ MA270U, it’s designed specifically to color manage and be controlled by macOS similar to an Apple display, or the Asus ProArt 5K monitor (PA27JCV) which will provide a native 218 PPI for macOS. 27” 5K monitor for Mac dev work (not gaming) under €1000. Does it exist?

If you like the nano-texture on the Studio Display, the ASUS ProArt PA27JCV is an excellent option. I got one for €660 (but returned it, because to me the coating was distracting). While the ASUS ROG Strix XG27JCG is a gaming monitor, I think it’s still a very good option. I prefer its controls: big

Best monitor for Graphic Design work to buy now?

Thanks! The issue with 4K 27-inch displays is that they’re not the right pixels per inch (PPI) density for macOS, which means you’d need to enable display scaling, which has performance and quality issues. Since writing the article, a few new displays have been released that are around 218PPI, but h

Monitor Suggestions for Mac Studio M4 Max

If 60hz refresh rate is ok with you then I would suggest two of these. 5k resolution is honestly what you want on Mac OS. The Apple Studio Display runs at 5k resolution. This Asus 5k is half the price. https://www.asus.com/us/displays-desktops/monitors/proart/proart-display-5k-pa27jcv/ https://www.a

Not anymore, Asus PA27JCV has USB-C 96W Power Delivery, has 5K display, color calibrated from factory and costs under 800$, I bought one on sale for 599$.

Asus PA27JCV 5K monitor - what are the best settings for mac os x?

I bought it in March 2025 (in one of the Polish local stores). I do research before it was available checking site like https://www.displayninja.com for incoming 5K panels and then waiting for 5K monitor with KVM (I need it to switch between two computers). Apple's studio doesn't have KVM. ASUS was

Why should I buy a Mac Mini over an iMac?

I’d go with the Mac mini connected to a 5K display. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1850479-REG/asus_pa27jcv_27_proart_5k_usb_c.html
