Well, since the awaited new Studio Display still sucks and is expensive af, what alternatives do you recommend?
ASUS ProArt Display 27” 5K HDR Professional Monitor (PA27JCV) - it's less expensive and very color accurate and beautiful. It also has a matte texture that keeps fonts crisp. Highly recommend. I just got a new m4 Mac mini also and this was what I ended up with and I couldn't be happier.

What 27” 5K to wait for?
If you’re not in a rush, you might as well wait at least 5 to 6 months. Current 5K displays (that I know of): ASUS ProArt PA27JCV (IPS: 5K 60Hz, $598.54) strong matte coating (similar to Apple’s nano-texture) which to my eyes diminishes the sharpness of text. clean, minimal design (it has character

Is there a monitor with high PPI?
Check out the Asus ProArt PA27JCV, a 5K HDR panel with a pixel density of 218 ppi, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C, and excellent color calibration. For €700. To say that text is sharp on a 4K screen would be a lie; this resolution isn't native on Macs, unlike 5K.

Yeah that one is great. I have the gamer variant, the ASUS ROG Strix 5K XG27JCG (Strix 5K). Currently at €749, it is about the same price as when the PA27JCV (ProArt 5K) launched last year. The Strix 5K has up to 180Hz in 5K (currently macOS maxes out at 165 Hz, though). Gamut is a bit lower, but mo

Best 6K matte alternative to Pro Display XDR for video editing/color grading in SDR?
I had the smaller brother of the ProArt, the PA27JCV. I compared the coating with Apple’s nano-texture, and though the technology is different, in practice they were very similar. The color profiles using the onboard controls or the DisplayWidget software is very convenient. Blacks were very deep. I

Best dual screen setup (besides MA270S) for MacBook Pro M5 Pro?
If you want to game at 5K, You could try this ASUS, but it's an anti-glare screen and won't have the colour accuracy of the ProArt. If colour accuracy isn't a must have, this would be a strong contender.https://rog.asus.com/monitors/27-to-31-5-inches/rog-strix-5k-xg27jcg/ Any of the colour accurate

why do iMac feel kinda ignored now?
Not anymore, Asus PA27JCV has USB-C 96W Power Delivery, has 5K display, color calibrated from factory and costs under 800$, I bought one on sale for 599$.

Monitor for photoe diting
One solid option worth checking out is the ASUS ProArt PA27JCV. It’s a 27" 5K IPS monitor that hits 99% DCI-P3, has solid contrast thanks to IPS Black (~1500:1), and includes thoughtful features like USB-C with 96W PD and a built-in USB hub. It’s pretty much tailored for creatives. And it's way more

Planning to buy a Mac Studio — need help choosing a monitor
For about $800, you could choose the Asus ProART PA27JCV, 27" at 5K. Some people don't like the matte coating on the Asus versus the Studio Display's glossy finish, but I have them sitting side by side as I write this and the Asus display looks equally as good. I'm mostly worried about text quality,

The ASUS ProArt 5K Monitor (PA27JCV) Has A Terrible Matte Coating
The PA27JCV needs a firmware upgrade (MCM103) so that it works with the DisplayWidget Center (DWC) software to properly calibrate the monitor. The manual that comes with the box has a QR code that let‘s you visit the site for the software which, while understandable for such a specialized monitor, i
