SiFi Networks - Not Allowing Bridge Mode???
I dunno. I contacted T-Life via the app, asked the AI for a static IP got routed to a person. 4 hours later I had my static IP. Yesterday I followed up with a bridge mode request, this time it took less than an hour later I was in bridge mode. I have the exact Nokia XS-2426X-A piece of shit. It work

Dual WAN Life Changer / TP-Link Omada ER605
I agree. 100% worth it. I’m a new “dual WAN” (brand new T-Fiber 2k/2k; old Xfinity 2k/300 on a 10G backbone). I purchased the ASUS GT-BE98 Pro just for dual-WAN failover (and the other benefits like custom building my iptables). I tested failover and it was beautiful. No clients blinked. PPPoE. Wow.

New Fiber in neighborhood; install soon
Had the NID and ONT installed yesterday. The gateway is interesting. It's a hard-wired fiber to the wall. XGS-PON type. Model: Nokia ONT XS-2426X-A. WiFi6 (not 6E/7). It has a 10G LAN port (whew) and 3x1G ethernet ports. Even at WiFi6, my iPhone 16, wireless came in strong: ~1995 Mbps down ~1995 Mbp

Looking for new router
Remember, unless it's on a good sale, Buy Cheap Get Cheap. The router is a very important piece of the puzzle so to speak. It handles everything wifi plus my asus Rapture ROG GT BE98 PRO wifi 7 Quad band router can handle security issues as well.It has many different settings to adjust to suit your

Modem / Router; To Combine Or Not
I prefer separate. I have a cable modem with Spectrum. Then, just a few months back i purchased a Asus GT BE98 PRO wifi 7 quad band router. It's their top of the line router, not cheap, retails for $699.99. I got it at Best Buy for $599.99. What i like about it is, you have a lot you can configure o

My PFL swap has been a mess so far
Based on the other thread going, it sounds like this is getting pushed to everyone, and everyone else is seeing the same issues. Sigh. Good to know on the speed though. I was reading it like an old cable modem bin file and took it to be a config. Fingers crossed the tech actually shows up tomorrow a

Upgraded to 2000, when should it go live?
GT-BE98 Pro. It's quad-band and supports up to 10 GB. Built-in VPN server (and client). It is ugly but you can turn off the pointless ‘pretty’ lights. If you do want a mesh, you can add other Asus routers. I had a couple of older ones I was planning to deploy but I didn't need them. It's fast enough

please guide me through routers
Router designer here.It really depends on your budget, internet speed, and home size.If money isn’t a problem and you have multi-gig fiber, look at high-end Wi-Fi 7 routers or mesh systems. Pay attention to the radio design, antenna configuration, and the number of spatial streams, that’s what’s cal

Wifi faster than ethernet? help
Depends on the router. My Asus GT BE98 PRO wifi7 router has 4- 2.5 Gbs ports and 2- 10 Gbs ports. It is a Quad band router. 2.4, 5, and 2- 6 ghz bands. Although not cheap, it's Asus top router, retails for $699.99. I paid $599.99 at Best Buy a couple months ago. Works great. Also has Trend micro pro

Replacement router questions
Honestly not. Get your own router. I’m it sure why STARLINK is only using WiFi 6 but at least future proof yourself with something WiFi 7. I used my router for maybe a week and wasn’t comfortable at all with how hot it got so I got my own. Mine is overkill but it’s read for anything. I have an ASUS
