Yes happened to me too. Very annoying my portafilter got stuck as well. Happened a lot on my ascaso dream. Using a puck screen or lower dosage seem to solve it.

Upgrade from Rancilio Siliva V5 to Ascaso Steel Duo PID V1 / Profitec GO [~400 €]
I would argue against Ascaso. I have Dream Pid and Duo Steel Pid and both machines are very flimsy. Duo has very quirky steam and Dream is very weak if the puck in't prepped good enough. I would go with Profitec which I would buy if it would fit my coffee corner. I was in the shop for measurement an
