New focus for do not disturb. Set the apps you want to come through and people you will allow to break the do not disturb. Set your backgrounds as well (away from home the iPhone wallpaper is jehuty from Zoe and my watch face is modular ultra. ) set your schedule and have dnd turn on at your address

I had a woman do that to me during my most recent trip. She swore up and down that I faked a LL tap with my Apple Watch; not realizing that my Magic Band+ was on the other wrist. The look on her face when I turned around, pushed back my sleeve that had rolled down, and flashed my band was priceless

No! Stay firm! My 7th grader doesn’t have a phone and many of their friends do not either - though Apple Watches are popular as a way to text and see their location. Hold off as long as you can. No one regrets waiting, plenty of people regret giving it too early.

I have both. Please do yourself a favor and buy a Garmin. Period. And don't be one of these guys who keeps pondering this every day. Waste of time. I had bought an Apple Watch SE back in the fall of 2024; my previous watch, got during lockdown, was my buddy, but the damned battery life always made me anxious that it was gonna dieeee when I wasn't finished with my day yet!
