Apple deceptively lies about AppleCare+ to scare people into not cancelling

One hidden feature with AppleCare+ is the benefit of free battery replacements (if the capacity is at 80% or below), and greatly reduced cost for screen replacements for broken front or back glass. Those two things alone make it worth it for me. I use AppleCare One, which is three products for a fla

What makes iPhone appealing to you?

Apple is the only ubiquitous company that explicitly states in their user agreement that they do not sell/share any of your data with third parties. (I know they use data internally, but they are pretty explicit about how they anonymize your data) Sure, this is 70% of the reason Apple Intelligence a

Is the Oura worth it if you have an Apple Watch?

I have both, since I got diagnosed with Sleep apnea, I have used my Apple watch to track my sleep. I got tired of wearing my Apple watch 24x7 and having to remember to charge it in the morning. Now Oura ring tracks my sleep and my Apple watch can sit on the charger overnight.

Watches?

I have both. Please do yourself a favor and buy a Garmin. Period. And don't be one of these guys who keeps pondering this every day. Waste of time. Apple Watch (Ultra) is only worth it for most people if you have family that is heavily connected in the ecosystem and you call a lot from your watch, e

Walkie Talkie - How does it affect your battery ?

Not at all and I use it daily with my wife, friends, and all of my kids. One of the best things Apple ever added to the AW.

What’s your most-used Apple Watch feature that you thought you’d never use?

I had bought an Apple Watch SE back in the fall of 2024; my previous watch, got during lockdown, was my buddy, but the damned battery life always made me anxious that it was gonna dieeee when I wasn't finished with my day yet! So I wasn't tracking sleep, because it was on the charger. Thanks to Redd

Wearing an Apple Watch AND a Whoop?

Would not do Hume. Would research their quality and customer service/satisfaction and then stay far away. Tons of people wear AW and Whoop, I'm one of 'em. It's great. Overkill on some things but I couldn't test and commit to one, the other, or both without a year's worth of Whoop. Worth it for me p

Got a (almost) FREE iPhone 17 upgrade

Not an iPhone but when I sent my series 6 AW into AppleCare via Apple themselves due to horrible battery health, they sent me a AW10 free of charge 🤷‍♀️ Edit: lol are people downvoting cuz they think I’m lying?

Time to make the switch from an Apple Watch to a Garmin/Coros?

If you are at all serious about running, there isn't much choice. You want to use a watch designed with features for runners. As to using that watch all day... that's up to you. There is a slight benefit of having your sleep / recovery data but I think it is at best marginally valuable. Personally,

AWU3 vs Garmin Fenix 8 — losing my mind over this GAS spiral 😅

My experience for what it’s worth. I have a lot of apple products and am quite happy in the ecosystem, I have a Fenix 8 and was given a AWU3, I have to admit I wanted to enjoy the AW as I’m a little unhappy with the way garmin treat software releases on “older” watches. However I just can’t get on w
