What 32-inch glossy monitors are currently available that can match the brightness and contrast of Macbook Pros?
The pro display XDR I believe is one of the few. First of all 4K is not going to be as good as the pixel density on the MacBook Pro but if you’re targeting just 4K, I would probably look into a good mini LED monitor. The issue is that the MacBook Pro has a huge number of dimming zones on a very smal

Apple's Studio Display XDR Supports DICOM Medical Imaging for Diagnostic Radiology
If you include every budget monitor on the planet sure, not for the price, 27" 5k P3 monitors w/ a ΔE < 2 are $500-700 all day long now. For 1.2k you can get a similarly color accurate 6k 32" monitor It's not like say the Pro Display XDR, Cinema Display 30", etc. where literally nobody on the market

Real-world experience with the ViewSonic 5K (VP2788-5K) — color accuracy, reference modes, and how it compares to Apple
TL;DR Same image, three screens.ViewSonic = neutral & honest.MacBook = very good middle ground.iPad = looks great, but adds punch. What you’re seeing here is the same image displayed on three very different classes of screens: Top: ViewSonic colour-critical monitor (IPS, hardware-calibratable, Rec.7

681: The Price of Your Nightmares
Are there 6k 32 inch monitors on the market today that are better in any way than the Pro Display XDR? John and Marco seem disappointed that there isn’t an upgraded option available (120hz, more dimming zones, higher peak brightness). I don’t see why they’d buy a different 6k monitor today, regardle

Optimising exposure for phone screens
I'm curious what you find deficient (for my own learning). What measurements are you seeing with your XDR? Which model (the Pro Display XDR) and have you used the "fine tune" or "full" calibration methods? Perhaps you're using the iPad and looking for something beyond "fine tune" which is certainly

Symptoms only triggered by screens and lighting
Wow! I didn’t expect to see a comment from someone who knew about PWM and temporal dithering. I use Stillcolor and actually tested the $5000 Apple Pro Display XDR and a $2000 Eizo monitor that are both true 10-bit displays and I didn’t get any of the tachycardia or eye focusing problems with them. Is the Apple Studio Display still worth buying for a MacBook Pro setup in 2026?
The way I see it, if you buy the Pro Display XDR now, in about 3 years - when the next cycle of monitors comes around - it’ll probably still stack up pretty well against whatever the next generation of Studio Display is. Then you’re likely looking at another few years before the next big leap. So by

Apple quietly reduces price of Studio Display XDR w/ VESA mount by $400
Apple isn’t selling you the panel for $3k either. It has the best built frame, stand, and speakers in the industry. It also has a webcam, a full on iPhone 17 Pro chip in there as well too, plus all of Apple’s exclusive spice (or whatever). My point is if LG releases a display with the same panel for

Looking for monitor recs for photo editing! My old SDR monitor just isn’t cutting it for the HDR stuff I do. Some details - I mainly use this monitor for photo editing, use a Mac and Lightroom/PS mostly, and have calibration gear. I have been very impressed with the new Apple Studio XDR monitor, exc

HKC M9 Pro - 32" 5K 180Hz with 2,304-zone MiniLED glossy
I will be shocked if I can ever buy this in the UK. It is an interesting design though. Only 32" mini LED I know off is Apples Pro Display XDR and even then it only has 500 odd zones.
