MacBook Pro With Touch Screen and New Mac Studio Likely 'Postponed'
Realistically, it's still solid advice though. We have: New redesign New Tandem OLED display First GAAFET processor First LPDDR6 memory architecture That should put it in one of best year-over-year upgrades of all time, much like first Apple Silicon MBP and the first Retina MBPs are remembered today

Which one is best for editing videos and Lightroom edits on the go?
This is inane. This is a fundamentally flawed understanding of how these systems work. For pure photo-editing (Lightroom / Photoshop) on the built-in screen, the 14” MacBook Pro M5 is the stronger, more balanced choice out of the box. The Ryzen 9 / RTX 5070 Ti laptop can be faster in some heavy batc

Is there any software engineers out there that use MacBook Air instead of MacBook Pro?
i was using a 16" 32gb m1 pro and not really planning on replacing for another year. Due to circumstances outside of my control I had to buy a new laptop and I bought an 13" 24gb m4 air . No regrets.Although if I was buying today it would likely be the 14" m5 mbp. I just got the m1 pro back... it fe

Need advice from y'all - M4/M3/M5 architecture
I would hold off until M5 is available before making an investment in Mac Studio. For general performance, the base M5 is benchmarking about 15% faster in CPU multi over M4. Reason enough to wait a few months before splashing on a high-end machine. (Consider that the base M5 in MacBook Pro scores ne

Sound Engineering software compatibility with laptops?
There are some compatibility issues at the moment with M5 chips (including base, pro, and max chips) and some pieces of software and hardware, but these are just bugs because these chips are still fairly new. Apple changed the core layout on the new chips, which messes with some low-level software,

Is it worth it to get any m5 MBP if you work on pro tools?
I haven’t used the newest ones, but I use an M1 Mac Studio and an M3 MacBook Pro and they both work great with Pro Tools. I do a little bit of everything. Film, music, podcasts. I’ve never had any serious issues and I’ve pushed both machines pretty hard. If people are saying the M5 is causing issues

DigiTech has new CaptureOne; photographer has old C1?
Id minimally upgrade to something with Apple Silicone M3 +, it’s a huge step forward in technology and will last you many more years I’m sure. If wanting to save some money find a gently used one. The M5 mbp is great but just with being on a modern machine you can run the same osx as that digi tech.

【Question】I want to buy a Mac Studio — Which is better: the M4 Max (36GB) for $1,670 or the M1 Max (32GB) for $800?
The m1 will surely meet your needs. And they are still selling m1 new at Walmart so I think Apple will update the m1 for a long time to come. My M1 Max Mac Studio runs just as fine as my new m5 mbp.

Leak reveals next-generation Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Laptop
Love my Surface Laptop which I use as my personal laptop. Got a M5 MBP for work and its also a great laptop (Other than annoyances with MacOS). I dont understand how Microsoft think its a good idea to increase the surface prices when Apple is basically doing the opposite when it comes to Neo. I wont

Immich on MacOS - worth it?
I’ve been experimenting with Immich on my new M5 MacBook Pro for the last month. (I’ve been experimenting with a variety of containerised applications in this same manner, figuring out everything while in bed before going to sleep each night, before I build a proper Proxmox server). Works great. I’m
