New Apple Silicon M4 & M5 HiDPI Limitation on 4K External Displays
Well. Just updated from MBP M1 Pro to MBP M5, can confirm, my for years used 3360x1890 HiDPI isn't working anymore. That's really a shame. Now my new MacBook feels like a downgrade. Thanks Apple.

LG UltraGear evo 27GM950B-B Early Impressions
I'm having this exact same issue. M1 Pro MacBook Pro (2021) with one LG GM9. I own a Studio Display XDR and it displays in 5K perfectly. If I connect the LG GM9 as the only monitor (remove the XDR) I still only see 4K as the highest resolution. Text also doesn't look as sharp as I'd expect, since I

27GM950B-B: Can anyone confirm if the 27GM950B-B will do 5k @ 120hz on M5 Pro Macbook?

Which to buy
Sounds like someone has never used a MacBook as a dedicated wintel computer. 2013 15" Retina. 2012 13" Unibody. Also have an M1 pro 14" as a machine for when I need to do something on MacOS.
