If the main goal is AI/ML, model training, or anything that relies heavily on GPU compute, then spending that much money on a machine without an NVIDIA GPU doesn’t make sense. The issue with M3 Pro (Pro specifically - not Max) is that apple changed core structure from 8p/4e cores to 6p/6e cores. Since logic can’t leverage efficiency cores efficiently, M3 Pro underperforms compared to M1/2 Pro with more performance cores.
