This news both gives me hope for a revolution in M6 and takes it away. I really hope that Apple, in M6, thanks to TSMC technologies, will implement something similar to mobile HBM memory. If the main goal is AI/ML, model training, or anything that relies heavily on GPU compute, then spending that much money on a machine without an NVIDIA GPU doesn’t make sense. With that kind of budget, I would go for a laptop with 32 GB RAM and a dedicated 16 GB NVIDIA GPU, then install Linux on it.

That mentioned 16" MacBook M3 Pro is a clean install. A reboot or closing my Safari Browser with 1-2 tabs doesn't change anything. Any other ideas, perhaps? Hab das MacBook Pro 2023 mit M3 Pro und 32 GB RAM. Habe genau die selben Probleme wie du. Zwar nicht sooo schlimm, aber auch sehr bemerkbar. Auf dem Safari Browser kann ich keine Videos/Filme ohne ständigem Stottern mehr schauen. Batterie Laufzeit drastisch geringer. Batterie Kapazität liegt bei 97%

Tried the same approach with anything LLM as the front and rag base (using lance db) and lmstudio with qwen3:4b-2507-instruct and nomic ai embeddings. Got mixed results (more tinkering needed) and unstable tps on a MacBook m3 pro - 18gb.
