This has nothing to do with x86 and “instruction bloat” people like to worry about. All x86 CPU’s use a uOp cache which caches frequent instructions (useful for video rendering or whatever else) so the argument about “the decoder” holds no merit. 90% of the instructions tend to be in the uOp cache.
