No new ipad 12th gen.....
Apple has way too many iPad models. iPad Air should be the base iPad at $399. The lineup should be Air, Pro, Mini. I really enjoy my M1 Air but I waited until it dropped to $399. There’s no way I can justify getting it at $599, even the new M4 that just came out… the screen is my biggest gripe and t

What are the best iPads widely used by students right now?
Get the iPad Air, either current gen or previous gen. Most people do the standard smaller size, but you could consider doing the bigger one if you want. If you choose to go older to save money, just make sure whichever iPad Air you get is M1 or newer, then it’ll have plenty of power for notes.

Upgrading from iPad air M1 to Ipad A16
I wouldn't call going from iPad Air M1 to iPad A16 an "upgrade" (less RAM, less processing power, no laminated display, etc) But if it works for you, it works.

Wait or Hunt it
IPad Air is never getting oled screen, you have a choice between oled in pro or 60hz in iPad Air , the difference is in £€$ hard cash . M5 iPad Pro & m4 iPad Air both have 12GB it’s a simple choice to pay a lot more for premium oled screen or ipad Air IPad Air is mid price because it doesn’t have ol

Are any of you an android users?
Actually during last year I ditched iPhone in favour of Android and completely abandoned Windows for Mac :P For me its fine. I'm not using Safari anyway. All I need is browser history sync. If I need to send files I use localSend so yeah, for me that famous synergy is not big deal. Same for tablet.

Is the iPad Air (M3) that much better than the iPad A16?
iPad Air has M processor, 8GB RAM, Apple Pencil 2 support, laminated display with better colour support and anti-reflective coating, and the ability to use Apple Stage Manager on an external display. Even a refurbished M1 iPad Air (direct from Apple online store) is better than the recent base iPad.

Air M1 upgrade to Air M4 isn't worth it.
OK I have the iPad Air M1 and for musicians - latency is a big thing. On my M1 Air, I can only run at 128 buffer settings. This is ok for basic playing but if you play fast or layer many sounds, it lags and if you run at a lower buffer, it just starts crackling and making distorted sounds. The 8G is

IPAD OR TABLET
i've owned both android tablets and ipads for long term use. the xiaomi screen is gorgeous but ipados will feel way more consistent 3 years from now. gaming on ipad is smoother because devs optimize for apple silicon first - mlbb runs great. for studying, notability and goodnotes on ipad are miles a

Should I buy ipadA16?
Buy it. It's good especially on sale. New one even if it comes out this year will be at full msrp for a while which will be more expensive. If you were gonna buy the new one at full marp, you might as well go get an iPad Air M2 or M3 now which is usually around $400 and will still be better than the

Ipad Pro 10.5 or Ipad 10th gen for gaming
I wouldnt go for the 2017 pro anymore. The chip does not feature any neural engine/AI (not even basic stuff from years ago like OCR in photos) and no iPadOS update support anymore iirc. I switched 1 1/2 years ago to an iPad Air. I would miss the better speakers more than 120Hz but there is always so
