New Resin Printer Coming Soon? What features do you want to see?
Apparently we want a split plate because that’s what Anycubic is doing on the P1. And I see ‘we’ as in other people…

Should I go for the Saturn 4 16k or the newer Photon P1?
16k screens do AA, although only 3bit scale. While P1 seems to do 4bit if in Anycubic Photon Workshop, better but still crippled. P1 has wave release film which softens details as well. Tilting release vat is both good and bad at least, for sure not pure problem. Floating built plate is okay to leve

how reputable are elegoo printers?
Among the consumer <$1k (USD) printers Elegoo is the most consistent by a wide margin. Anycubic is a bit of a distant second with a higher rate of dropped balls and self-inflicted failures. Phrozen and Uniformation have significant consistency issues and QA problems not commensurate with their premi

The new Photon P1 Max looks amazing
I was a bit annoyed when I heard that this was happening after backing the P1 on Kickstarter. I managed to get that for about £350, with the refund and the voucher factored in. Seeing it now I doubt I would have gone for the Max if that had come first. I was willing to risk the £350 but not double t

Anycubic Photon P1, What am I missing?
I was totally confused with the marketing so I asked Anycubic. The reply I received today was that the P1 by default comes with the single large vat and build plate. If you want to use the dual vat/build plate for some weird reason (I say weird as I can't think of a personal need for that), then you

Should I go for the Saturn 4 16k or the newer Photon P1?
Yeah, that's the problem I fear as well. Although I can't advise you as I don't really know. I don't print much as I try to paint before print again and I dont print fast. Although I have seen some unofficial guides for screen changing. If you print much (all screens claim to have about 2k hours of

Printer recommendations on 2026?
There are maybe 4 or 5 good quality affordable options right now but each has a downside. These are the models I’d consider & why I’d be hesitant. Heygears Reflex RS Turbo - too locked down and upgrading for the heated vat is an extra expense. Messy flat build plate. Anycubic P1/P1 Max - I’m unsure

FDM user looking to buy a resin printer for the first time use
Heygears Reflex RS is less than the P1 on sale right now. That’s a far better printer than any Anycubic. If the Saturn 3 (non-Ultra) is available in your market, that’s the best bang for your buck available, and it has a higher Z height than any newer printer. The Anycubic Wash & Cure 3.0 Plus is go

Ace 2 Pro upgrade is open
Nope. That they can't be used together was something just more recently that has started showing up in their materials. During the AMA, they had said "Not yet-still in internal planning." Evidently the decision was made to not make them play nicely with each other, which is a little messed up, in my

Bigger printer and tech like the Anycubic D2?
DLP is a dead end. Texas Instruments is the only manufacturer of DLP technology and they don’t care about the resin printer market. The LCD makers don’t really care either, but there was more of a push for smaller pixels/larger LCDs. I would wait a year on the P1. Anycubic’s QC record with the curre
