why a different brand? have nearly 1000 hours on my kobra x abd love it, along with many others with various machines. absolutely nothing wrong with anycubic compared to other brands.

Nothing wrong with Anycubic. I own three of their printers along with many other brands. The Kobra S1 is garbage though, I will admit that. Lots of design flaws. But the Kobra X and the Kobra S1 Max have been very solid so far for me.

I had the exact same thing happen on my Kobra X when I attempted to use TPU filament. It got all jammed up inside the extruder and when I tried to open it to clear the jam, I stripped the two screws on the sides of the hotend. Depends on your budget. Some have good luck with the Snapmaker u1, mine have been a little unreliable. But for multi-color a toolchanger is faster and ultimately the best call. The Anycubic Kobra X might be a better buy. It’s $299 and have 4 color printing built in, less material waste and is fast. I have 3 and they are workhorses. Over 500 hours on each or close to it.
