I'm tall too and had the same problem my old chair snapped at the base. Ended up getting the AndaSeat Kaiser 3 XL and it's been great so far. Super sturdy deep seat and comfy for long hours. If you've got the budget, the secret lab Titan evo XL is another solid pick.

I have the chair in the picture. I think I'm in the minority for this but I NEED a high quality ergonomic chair or my legs start hurting within an hour. The build quality is solid for the price but it will squeak a bit and you might find it comfortable. I get a bit hot with it and it's not ergonomic
