I have a Kobo Libra 2, bought about two and a half years ago, and was coming from a Kindle Oasis 3. I haven't actually switched... I still use the Kindle daily, as well as of course the Kobo. Using multiple devices seems to make it easier for me to juggle books. Maybe that's just me... because Kobo

There are a few Android eInk devices that are very similar to the 7’’ Oasis 2 and 3 in size and shape - Boox Go 7 for example, but there are others. They won’t have the battery life of good dedicated e-readers (Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook) but offer all sorts of flexibility. (And battery life isn’t as

I have it at 20% indoors, but I forget to set it to 0% outside. I just read 650 pages and it's at 47% battery - That's OK for me :) Much, much better than my old Kindle Oasis ;P

I just converted to the Boox Go7 monochrome as my main Ereader. The square format reminds me a lot of my old Kindle Oasis, which was my full time Ereader until the batteries started to go south. The Oasis was replaced by my old Boox Nova Air, which was the perfect format..about the screen size of a

Light probably matters a fair bit. I have it almost halfway up - have tried with less but my eyesight is such that I need a lot of contrast and having it lower isn’t good enough. (This is in the exact same light and location where I can read paper books as well as my Kindle Oasis with the frontlight

Probably quite a bit better for the BW than my Boox Go 7 Colour Gen II, yeah - I get 8-10 hours of reading time on that (only using reading apps, wifi & bluetooth off, but colour screen -> need to have the light on quite high). Which is tolerable and better than my nine year old Kindle Oasis (which

Wow OP, thanks for the guide. I'm a Kindle Oasis 3 user and thinking to migrate to KLC once my Kindle dead. Been dealing with screen freeze and battery drop this year.

From my understanding they won't be bricked, they just won't be able to connect to amazon directly. But devices from 2012 are pretty old by now, its 14 years. I know kindles are only used for reading and people use them for a long time, but 14 years is a really long time. My 2017 oasis feels slow an

Neither. The Oasis for reasons others have mentioned - battery can't be replaced on Oasis 2/3 (and the even older Oasis 1 is 6" screen, same size as the Clara) The Libra because it only comes in color. While many people like color, there is a risk with the screen door effect which some folks don't m

Two days ago I ditched my Kindle Oasis and bought a Pocketbook Era. The Kindle had finnaly succeeded in driving me insane enough to spend another €200 on a new Ereader. The Amazon Kindle is an absolute 0/10 would rather torture myself. The wretched thing had removed a series I was reading from the s
