Me, watching all the beautiful e-readers here and wanting to buy more, when I already have one

I'm so obsessed with the Kindle Scribe in Fig, but unfortunately all I can afford this year is the Basic in Matcha. Which is adorable in itself, but the Fig color in the other one does things to my brain. Unfortunately a 630 dollar device is not in the books for me 😭

Best e-reader under $100? Including used options

Woot.com has great refurbished units occasionally. Look for the 32gb versions of the PW, it is the signature edition but labeled as a regular unit. I got one recently for $69. If you dont care about ads and can do with less storage, the 8gb goes for $40-50. Scratch &dent units are actually in quite

Thinking of getting a Kindle

Kindle has: • Basic • Paperwhite • Colorsoft • Oasis • Scribe Me, I have the Basic (matcha). Cheaper, the size is great! Fits most of my bags. Hindi nga lang waterproof and walang warm light. There are Kindles na walang ads. Mas mahal lang ng konti sa mga with ads. Pwede mo naman ipatanggal uung ads

The device I want does not exist (10inches, BW, 300ppi, non kindle non android) ?

I think that's the main takeaway. There is no perfect device. There'll be compromises on whichever device you choose. If all the software bugs hadn't started appearing on the scribe colorsoft I would've kept it. Kindles software and hardware are very well built imo. Thanks to kcc it's easy enough to

I don’t think the Pure is supposed to be an RM2 upgrade

It leaves the RM2 as a now-defunct premium monochrome tablet with no direct replacement in the RM ecosystem. I really don't know why RM is going this direction. I mean, the above line of thinking is on brand for the company, but that doesn't change the fact their C-levels are making really dumb busi

I need a tablet for reading and PDF editing

Kindle scribe colorsoft is pretty great and they finally allowed to upload your own pdf's as of recently. I usually don't like kindles due it's closed ecosystem but for pdf reading and editing it's probably the best device on the market now. Just note that it's a specialized device for reading and w

Contractor saying we owe $100 for "not going with their quote"

I am quite fascinated now as well. This ticket tacky minute stuff can certainly be fun to litigate. One small thing. I became disabled and am homeless and launching into living at a steady place. We don't want a broken TV. Please only donate items that people can find useful or that spark joy ā¤ļø I sa

Thinking of "upgrading" Kindle basic

Keep the Basic to travel with. Get a 10.3" Kindle Scribe for PDFs/graphics at home. (This rec assumes you aren't taking notes/annotating extensively.) PDFs are not fun on screens as small as 7". 8" in landscape is smallest I'd go... So if a 10" is too big, maybe one of the Pocketbook Inkpads. Not su

First time buyer

Kobo would give you Libby access and changing countries when buying from Kobo store is relatively easy (I’m not entirely sure how much detail on that is allowed here - I’m sure Kobo subreddit or Mobileread forums have more info though). That said, I’m not sure the Kobo Elipsa (Scribe equivalent as s
