India. Waiting for a Train.
Just ordered mine and really can’t wait. Seems a perfect travel companion for when I don’t want to take my Kindle Scribe out with me! (Also, I see Three Body and raise you a salute)

ADHD impulse buying: what is one purchase that you DO NOT regret?
Similarly, my kindle scribe. I’m still not a huge reader (I wasn’t consistently as a kid either), but I now read a lot more frequently. Also I loooove drawing/writing on it, and particularly being able to easily annotate pdfs etc. I swear, I’m so gutted I am no longer studying. I would have been so

Best e-reader under $100? Including used options
Woot.com has great refurbished units occasionally. Look for the 32gb versions of the PW, it is the signature edition but labeled as a regular unit. I got one recently for $69. If you dont care about ads and can do with less storage, the 8gb goes for $40-50. Scratch &dent units are actually in quite

Thinking of buying my first Kindle
You should wait until next month. It was announced that Amazon will release new Kindle devices at the end of September, probably including a colour Kindle Scribe. In general, a Kindle or any other e-reader is an excellent way to read and carry your library around with you. If you want a pink one, it

Thinking of getting a Kindle
Kindle has: • Basic • Paperwhite • Colorsoft • Oasis • Scribe Me, I have the Basic (matcha). Cheaper, the size is great! Fits most of my bags. Hindi nga lang waterproof and walang warm light. There are Kindles na walang ads. Mas mahal lang ng konti sa mga with ads. Pwede mo naman ipatanggal uung ads

Thoughts on remarkable?
Like the Kindle Scribe I feel they are too large for casual reading. For personal reading I use a Kobo Libra Color... I will only use my Kindle Scribe or Remarkable 2 if I am reading PDF's or technical docments where real estate matters.

If you had/tried a remarkable and went with something else, what was it?
I actually came from Kindle Scribe. Scribe is much lighter and thinner, much faster and more responsive, better at reading books with proper Chinese support. Note export is awful, pen stroke in export are pixelated. Will try Kindle Scribe Colorsoft when it’s released.

Should I buy an iPad if I already have a MacBook, iPhone, and e-reader? 🤔
I have owned every kindle ever, including the scribe. Once I started playing around with the settings on the readers available for iPad, I realized you can make it every bit as comfortable to read on as a eReader. So just last week I got rid of my scribe (so did my spouse). One less device is always

If you tried both and/or just chose one of these for any reason at all — Viwoods AiPaper Mini or Supernote Nomad?
I chose viwoods ai paper mini for the portability and slightly larger 8.2 inch display. I also liked that I have upto 100 days to trial before I can return if it doesn’t meet my needs. The < $400 for the package with pen and folio was also encouraging. I’ve had my eye on Supernote nomad since 2023 a

I've left my job - I've told no one
Very late to the party, but Kindle Scribe wrapped in a leather case. Looks very professional and can be used for work, but also can be filled with pleasure reading (or work reading).
