Is the Amazon fire kids tablet really that bad?
I love the Fire Kids tablets. We have one for each of our kids (3). They come with these bad ass protective bumpers. I imagine the bad reviews are from people who try to use them instead of just letting their kids use them. They are shit if you want to use them for adults because they are not all pu

Low Storage solution for Fire 7 Kids edition (16GB)
We were getting the infamous "Low Storage" notice on our daughters Kindle Fire. In checking the internal storage on my daughter's account, my wife found a file labeled miscellaneous that was 6.4GB large. My wife spent a few hours last night trying to figure out what it was and how to fix it to no

My Fire 7 Kids Tablets are constantly running out of storage
16 gb sounds like a decent amount. Except it's really far less. After system files and pre-installed software that I can't remove, it's like 6 GB. Okay, I buy a 128 gb mini SD card. Except, none of the kids apps will install to it.
So I am constantly having to remove games so my kids can play somet

Real-Life Questions/Chat Week of February 10, 2025
We also have tablets that my kids only get during travel, and the fire kids tablet has been just fine. It’s not the most user friendly to me, but my kids only use it to watch Disney+ downloads during travel days, and it’s perfect for that. The case is practically bombproof, the lowest memory option

Tablet in the car worth it?
We broke down and bought a tablet after doing two trips from Houston to Colorado and back without one. Used it for a drive up to the Chicago area and back, and it was a game changer. I just wish he'd get used to headphones. We have a Fire Kids tablet. We preloaded it with his favored Pooh movies, ep

Kindle Fire 7 Kids - Clearing Misc Storage
10GB internal storage with 7.34GB (at time of posting) taken up by "Miscellaneous/Others". I really don't want to have to download any kind of cleaner app onto either computer or it itself but I can't find any other way to clear this out.
Also, why in the names of the gods can you find nothing when

Default storage limit on kids profile?
I'm working on figuring out my son's kindle fire 7 kids device. He's getting the not enough space notification on his profile when he tries to access or install new apps, but I've got well over 120GB of free space between internal storage (6gb of internal) and I have the card formatted as internal s

How realistic would it be to get a tablet ONLY for trips?
That’s what we do. We had a tablet we got from insurance for some health tracking that we never used. We downloaded some videos on it and used it only for trips. On prime day we got a Amazon fire kids tablet because the other one had such little storage that we could only have 1 movie on it which wa

We've kept our toddler tablet free and she's almost 4. We are planning a trip on the other side of the world with a 24 hr travel. Worried about keeping her busy. Debating whether we should get a Kindle fire kids tablet or something else. Any recommendations?
We have the Kindle fire kids tablets. They don't hold a lot, but u prefer them just for educational games as well. If you keep up with the updates and only download "name brand" apps, they're great. And you can control them from your phone with time limits, app blocking etc etc
