My barely 5yo son asks me if he can "play skibidi toilet"

Fr I'm kinda surprised at how people are blaming the tablet, they've obviously never seen an Amazon kids tablet lol. There's 0 chance he got that from his tablet, that he spends barely an hour on a week. Even if he spent all day on it, he wouldn't have gotten it from the tablet. He doesn't have acce

Ironic that Gypsy is not wanting to give her a iPad till 16 because she claimed her mom was over protective and sheltering and she’s doing the same thing to her daughter.

Bsffr, that baby is already plopped in front of the TV watching Frozen & Pocahontas. Whoever will mind after Arugula while Guppy is trying to mooch free food at Bennan's during Kyen's shift?!? That's right, a tablet will. Girlypop can't even do her night-time routine, soothe her colicky baby, or rem

Child with no mobility

Hey, Mom to a 20-year-old with severe lifelong physical disabilities. My son has a musical keyboard; It is a Casio light-up keys with prerecorded songs. My son also loves his Fire Kids tablet. If your kiddo isn't delayed then I would just get him a regular tablet but my son is low-functioning so nee

Screen time

I don’t give my son his iPad with a full charge. If I try to take it away or limit him, he melts down.. but if the iPad dies he seems to carry on without skipping a beat.. so I try to give it to him when it’s at 50% charge, then it dies after an hour or 2 and he moves on. He also has the Amazon fire

Tablet just for travel

We have Amazon kids tablets for our 4 and 2 year old but they only use the for travel. They are fine, they are kinda slow to operate. I would look for refurbished iPads. They are much easier to operate. But, the Amazon tablets are fine, they work fine and do what they need to do, I just wish they we

My 2½ year old cannot understand anything

I got him one of those Amazon Fire kids tablets for christmas. He has figured out how to use it on his own, and enjoys colourings and tracing shapes. He likes the actual pages of books, but he is rough with them and doesnt like when I read them out loud

Low Storage solution for Fire 7 Kids edition (16GB)

We were getting the infamous "Low Storage" notice on our daughters Kindle Fire. In checking the internal storage on my daughter's account, my wife found a file labeled miscellaneous that was 6.4GB large. My wife spent a few hours last night trying to figure out what it was and how to fix it to no

What does screen-time look like in your household?

Our household has no enforced screen time. We have 7 year old boy/girl twins. My son is level 3 nonverbal and daughter is awaiting diagnosis now (ADHD, ODD). My son has an iPad ACA device, a samsung tablet, and 2 Fire kids tablets. He's on his tablets the majority of the time he's home from school.

Tablets

We got my son a tablet when he was 18 months old. The only reason we did is because we were flying across the country to visit family. We bought the Amazon fire kids tablet. It works well and is very durable. Now that I have one, I only let him use it maybe once a month. It was great on an airplane

Do you know of a Tablet that’s basically a DVD player?

I have an Amazon Fire kids tablet for my daughter. I download movies for her to watch. It also allows me to lock the screen so she can't press buttons. The thing is indestructible, too. She stands on it, throws it, and drops it. It still works fine.
