“Good router” is debatable depending on the size of the area you’re trying to cover. Even townhomes that are 20-25 years old can have enough steel and walls to block signals. FWIW had an older orbi set up. Never had any issues. From what I've read decided to leave and got eero 7 pro and it works great but they put some features I used on my orbi behind a paywall.
