Amazfit hardware is fantastic. For reference, in the last couple of years I’ve owned and trained with the following (I’m not rich or crazy, but I got really used to having a bunch of devices during grad school when my research called for it). Amazfit T-Rex 3 Amazfit Balance 2 Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro App

If BioCharge and advanced navigation from the Pro version don’t come to the regular T-Rex 3 via updates, I’ll sell mine without hesitation and never touch Amazfit again. A flagship product abandoned just a year after release, limited on purpose by software. Next year T-Rex 4 will come out with new f

It's just not the same kind of watch at all. It's a smaller max with more buttons and at the same price. I'm confused about what amazfit was thinking here. And launching it so close to the T-rex ultra 2?

Probably the most unneccesary release I've seen from Amazfit, alognside the T-Rex Ultra 2. They haven't been able to keep up with the Helio Strap demand, still unable to sell a single replacement band for the Helio Strap, the calories algorithm is still super high, sports like swimming are still lac

Actually, this article does a good job of pointing out many of the same concerns users have mentioned here. Amazfit really nails the hardware, but the software still needs work to deliver a smoother overall experience. That said, I don’t have the T-Rex 3 Pro — I use the Balance 2, Active 2, and Heli

I had the same thought but someone on this sub helped change my mind. Amazfit is still the value leader in fitness-focused watches, they've just begun offering models that compete with the more premium Garmin models (e.g Fenix 8). If you're in the market for a Fenix 8, the T-Rex Ultra 2 is less than

Hardcore Garmin user here (Fenix 8 pro). I picked up a T Rex 8 Pro 44mm to just see what this ecosystem is all about. Some quick observations: T-Rex GPS shockingly accurate. Matches the Fenix on its highest accuracy mode on every single run. I use an external chest strap heart rate monitor and it’s

In my opinion, this is pretty standard for sports watches. I have the Garmin Vivoactive 5 myself, and in the 2.5 years I've owned it, I've maybe received two small feature updates. The new Vivoactive 6 is almost identical to the Vivoactive 5 in terms of hardware but has a lot of new software, instea

While I agree that software and map experience can be improved, especially maps detail, POI, saved location handling, etc., I do not agree it is that bad. I am using Garmin Fenix 7 also, and experience with Amazift T-rex 3 is much better, more fluid, customizable, easier to transfer GPX path and nav

For me it was these things: sleep tracking and especially nap detection were horrendous and the fact in 2026 Suunto is the only brand you can’t edit sleep or even delete false nap detection is sad. notifications… sometimes I delete on the watch and they stay on my iPhone and other times vice verse.
