Nvidia releases first G-Sync Pulsar update to deal with artifacts below 90 FPS, plus a new 60Hz mode

I'm really interested in Pulsar monitors but I don't know if it's worth swapping to from my AW3423DW OLED. I love the colors, but I am a pretty competitive gamer... and honestly, the idea of old games that are locked to 60fps feeling more 'crt-like' just kind of sounds awesome.

Drawbacks of Mini LED that no one talks about

Ah, well the aw3423dw is a 1st gen panel, so I understand your perspective. Mine is a 3rd gen, aw3225qf, and each gen has been improving on the black raise issue. 4th gen is supposed to come out soon with a new coating that might have similar performance to WOLED, but that remains to be seen. I have

W-oled vs QD-oled

Still plenty of other points to QD OLED other than what you mentioned imo; - 3 year standard burn in warranties on monitors, while having comparable burn in resistance (if not better on latest gen panels) to WOLED - No white sub pixel dilution in saturated HDR games/content - No near black chrominan

These shaders are among the best I've ever seen! Just had to share this!

I’ll get photos tomorrow. I’m running the cyberlab hdr arcade hdr shader. I have an Alienware aw3423dw monitor. It’s a qd-oled. I’m running your shaders stock as is. I changed the sub pixel to rgb and it seems only a tad better. On qd oled. Is their a recommended shader you suggest. I have a 800tvl

One year on an AW3423DWF and I thought I had escaped burn-in. Narrator: He did not.

My AW3423DW was mostly ok for the three years minus one week I had mine. Got a warranty replacement a week before it expired. Wasn’t anywhere near what yours is showing. All I did was have mine set to shut off the monitor after five minutes of idling. They gave me a new AW3425DW to replace it, which

Another 4090 User: "Cyberpunk in VR is Life Changing" - CONFIG GUIDE 2025

I'm surprised to read that too. Transformer is working fine on 2.21 pancake, why would VR make any difference? And personally playing this game without RT doesn't seem worth it depending on your setup. I have an OLED ultrawide monitor (the Alienware 3423DW) and the game looks incredible with path tr

Why do most PP filters don't cater to HDR?

I got the Alienware AW3423DW and HDR content looks mind-blowing on it, so I'm not sure where you got that from. It's a game changer (literally). These OLED monitors are pretty cheap now. Btw, I don't think IPS and HDR go great together, maybe high-end Apple monitors can do it justice. I think OLED r

New rig, but lost in monitor selection.

Another vote for 34" 3440x1440 ultrawide. I have the Alienware AW3423DW. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Good color, depth, and response. Excellent overhead with regard to refresh rate and GSync. Good settings menu and OLED screen refresh software (mitigates burn-in). I bought a year and a ha

Buying a new gaming TV but will also use it as a monitor, should I avoid OLED?

Ive got almost 3 years of heavy use on my alienware 3423dw. No burn in and no noticeable drop in brightness. At first I was also worried about oled being a bit more fragile. But I'm more than happy with my decision. Color quality on oled is insane. Every other monitor looks washed out in comparison

My experience trying OLED after IPS

I've had an AW3423DW as my other primary display in the house for the last year. Both it and the TV are hardware color corrected about once a year. I disagree.
