I finally acquired a 5080.. and OMFG
Nice congrats. I have the Alienware AW3425DW and love it. I also got lucky and found a 5080 on boxing day. It was under MSRP here in Canada as well. Perfect pairing for a 34" 240hz OLED. Great experience for sure.

4K DLAA native vs DLSS+DLDSR
Ok, I have a 5090 and I game on 3 screens 34in alienware AW3425DW (UW 1440p) MSI - MAG 272UP 27in (4k Monitor) Hinsense U8N 65in (4k TV) Playing natively with no upscaling, all are fun the my 27in MSI 4k and TV look noticeably better HOWEVER, when I use dldsr 1.78x on the 34 inch ultra wide, that is

Whats the biggest monitor size I can put here?
Well, based on the measurements you took with a tape measure, the specs you took from the product page, and the helpful painters tape visual you provided for us to determine what fits in your space here’s one that will fit: https://www.bestbuy.com/product/alienware-aw3425dw-34-qd-oled-curved-wqhd-24

Returning my 500hz QD-OLED, going back to my 360hz IPS
VRR straight up sucks on OLEDs. Hardware VRR with the native G-Sync module is better than this AdaptiveSync/FreeSync/G-Sync Compatible software VRR crap without variable overdrive. I won't argue with that. I went from an AW3423DW to AW3425DW mostly because I wanted to, and those gsync modules do wor

I like multi frame generation, a lot
Going to be honest I’m using a 5090 and 9800x3d. Just purchased the AW3425DW 240Hz. HDR is set to Peak 1000 mode. My base frame rate is ~65 and I MFG to around 120 in AC:Shadows. Like you said, I don’t feel any input lag. However, I disagree with your statement that you must use VRR. As we know with

Help regarding monitor purchase.
I have nearly the same setup except a 5080. I am using Alienware aw3425dw. It's a 34 inch 3440x1440 240hz oled monitor. It pairs beautifully with my PC being not too hard to drive while being amazing to look at. Most modern games support ultrawide resolution and the immersion it provides is superb.

Which resolution monitor are you guys using? Which one you think it's the best? Quality / Performance wise
Previously I had a 4090 paired with my 9800x3d at 3440x1440@165hz (AW3423DWF) and I found that to be perfect in terms of frames and a balance between frame rate and overall res and graphics settings, you can max out all games settings and use DLSS quality and still get close to the refresh rate. Rate my first build!
Good to hear. Yeah I am debating 4k as well. I ended up with the Alienware AW3425DW. So a 34inch 3440x1440 240hz. The 5080 does a pretty good job pushing the resolution. But not sure if 4k is worth it. I think you have the right idea as 1440p is a good middle ground for now. What annoys me about 4k

RX 9070 xt - Higher Boost Clock in Stock?
Really depends on budget IMO. I recently got a AW3425DW OLED. My last screen lasted me 8 years (1080P ultrawide, which the 9070XT was wasted on, big time) so I was going to go all in this time. No regrets. Runs great on the 9070XT. Doesn't hit 240hz in the games I play, but it's nice to have that he

What Monitor are you getting for the holidays?
Got the Dell Alienware AW3425DW, 240hz, 21:9 34 inch, QD-OLED, upgrading from a budget 144hz IPS. Time to experience that OLED and Ultrawide greatness in one go. It's got a three year burn in warranty so I'm not too concerned about any downsides. And the perfect motion clarity sounds ideal for gamin
