August 2025 update

Many thanks! They're Adam Audio T5V's with a T10S subwoofer. You can play audio just fine at lower volumes, but maybe leave out the subwoofer then. The sub is not a good idea in an appartment...

Looking for a serious system for a desk!!

How close will you be sitting from the speakers? Will they also have a secondary set of listeners behind them? If the speakers are being mounted at least eight feet from you then the KEFs will be fine. Otherwise you would need near field speakers as they have a different dispersion wave than far fie

Purchasing piano or taking lessons?

Buy a better digital piano and put the extra money toward lessons or a good sound system. From what you’re describing, it’s like you are riding a kid’s bike and wondering why driving a Lambo feels so different. There are plenty of solid mid-range digital pianos with weighted keys that bridge the gap

HELP in upgrading my set-up

What's you setup currently? Do you already have a DAC or audio interface? If yes, all you need are studio monitors and a subwoofer if you want deep bass. This Reddit is less of a DJ setup kind of deal, but you could start with a good Adam setup: Adam T5V (340€) Adam T10S (375€) I wouldn't recommend

First stereo Hi-Fi (kinda) setup

You could get something like: Adam T5V speakers (1400 PLN) ADAM T10S subwoofer (1555 PLN) MOTU M2 audio interface (990 PLN) TRS to XLR males cables (62 PLN) 4007 PLN (≈ 1090 US$) If you don't need microphone input, maybe take a look at the Topping

Advice for amp setup for LS50 metas

Maybe you'd like to get a pair of active monitors? I see two possibilities: Option A. You could be interested in the entry-level series from Adam Audio and build a 2.1 system from it. How about the Adam T5V (or the larger T7V if you want to go louder) for close range with the T10S? The combination p

Deeeep bass synth

Love my Minitaur. But having a nice sub at the music desk makes a world of difference. I used to rattle the entire house with my bass guitar, crank up the pre-amp, adjust the cutoff a bit, and hear my wife or kids yelling about that deafening bass - from an Adam Audio T10S. Many synths can produce l

In your budget I think there is Adam Audio 2.1 set available on Sweetwater that you could use with either XLR or not. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/T7VT10SBun--adam-audio-t7v-7-inch-powered-studio-monitor-pair-with-t10s-10-inch-powered-studio-subwoofer Except I think your amp might blow th
