$99, no idea why anyone thought this would be $70. It's cheaper than other controllers that have less inputs and still use potentiometers.
Depends on the user. For gyro gamers if they wanted touch activated gyro the only options have been dualsense with conductive tape mod or alpakka. Alpakka runs over $100 with 3d printed parts while dualsense if you also want grip buttons runs $200. Lot of the controllers people point to haven't been

Minor complaint for the steam controller 2
Actually getting the Steam Controller to replace my 8bitdo Pro 3. It doesn't play nice with Steam on Mac, and support says it's not their problem. Can't wait for the Steam Controller to arrive. Ultimate Software V2 won't detect my controller...
I think the pro3 will work, I have a pro 2 and it worked with the software. I think yours didn't because you got a wired version with less features. I actually hated using the 8bitdo software, I got tons more mileage out of the $20 red switch/switch2 controller from walmart that let you just hold a

Wha is the biggest difference between these two controllers?
I purchased the new 8bitdo pro 3 and seems like a great controller, but I just cannot get the software… I've tried plugging in to my phone, my iPad and my Mac and the software just won't recognize the controller… Is there something I'm doing wrong? I've tried putting in in all three settings.
