OS 1.2.7 feature predictions?
I just want the 8bitdo 64 controllers to work correctly. Let them sync in Switch mode instead.

Doom 64 8bitdo Bug?
The 8BitDo controllers recognize the C buttons as an analog stick rather than different buttons, so some in-game combinations don't work. For games where you have to press the C buttons in opposite directions, you'll have to use a wired controller. I've filed feedback with 8BitDo for the issue under

Analogue 3D Button Re-mapping Possible
With the 8bitdo 64 controller you can swap buttons, but you have to do it every time you boot up the game and it doesn't do stick inversion. I do hope they expand on this in later updates though. Considering the controller can save "controller pak" data you'd think it could store a little button map

No surprise… but wait there’s a catch
I would add that it's also still missing promised features like save states, and the way they locked it down so even though it has "Bluetooth" the 8bitdo 64 controller is the only one that easily works with it (or a wired original one). There's no reason that other Bluetooth controllers like the Nin

It’s been said before but use wired original controllers if you can
I disagree, but I do find a couple of things annoying about the 8bitdo 64, which I haven't seen mentioned in this subreddit, and cause me to keep an OG controller around. Holding start on boot is how N64 games access their controller pak file managers. Holding start on the 8bitdo 64... Shuts the con

Doom 64 Internal Saving Issue
Just ran through the first level again to test with the new firmware update 3Dos 1.2.4 [2026-03-28] and still doesn't work (I'm using the 8bitdo 64 controller). Anyone have any update on this or have you heard back from Analogue?

8bitDo 64 2.4Ghz + Pocket Dock
The other 2.4g controllers have an Analogue-specific alternate firmware so they will work without a receiver. Maybe there's a new firmware for 8BitDo 64 2.4g? [edit] Nope. https://support.8bitdo.com/analogue/Dock/ Might work with the receiver dongle connected by USB, but I dunno. Worth a try. [edit2

How do I get the C-buttons to work on an NSO N64 controller?
I'm in the same boat as OP and can confirm trying to set binds with a 64 controller is a frustrating experience. Understandably, controllers like the NSO or 8bitdo 64 pads are rare, but it would be great if RA would make the process easier. It sees the controller with the right name, but all of the

3D Firmware 1.3 is out!
It says I need to update my controller which is on 2.04 it is the 8bitdo 64 controller, but the firmware update software doesn't work sadly. It constantly trys to update itself even though it is the new version and says "updating" when I connect a controller, but nothing happens
