Doom 64 8bitdo Bug?
The 8BitDo controllers recognize the C buttons as an analog stick rather than different buttons, so some in-game combinations don't work. For games where you have to press the C buttons in opposite directions, you'll have to use a wired controller. I've filed feedback with 8BitDo for the issue under

OS 1.2.7 feature predictions?
I just want the 8bitdo 64 controllers to work correctly. Let them sync in Switch mode instead.

Modern Vintage Gamer posted their review
Apparently they don't work. The only wireless controller that will work out of the box would be the 8bitDo 64 controller.. very disappointed.

2.4G 8BitDo N64Controller switch between Rumble and Memory
In my experience, the problem is only the Summercart menu specifically doesn't recognize the controller pak (memory card). The games do. I can save and load from it in Doom 64, some sports games, etc, even when loaded from a Summercart. Since this controller communicates through the controller port,

Just got the 8Bitdo 64
It's a funny meme but also inaccurate. The whole point is that games would use 2 of the three prongs depending on what controls they used (this was right in the middle of analog and digital movement). While this new 8BitDo 64 controller is nice for the biggest N64 games, it doesn't work nearly as we

Doom 64 Internal Saving Issue
Just ran through the first level again to test with the new firmware update 3Dos 1.2.4 [2026-03-28] and still doesn't work (I'm using the 8bitdo 64 controller). Anyone have any update on this or have you heard back from Analogue?

3D Firmware 1.3 is out!
It says I need to update my controller which is on 2.04 it is the 8bitdo 64 controller, but the firmware update software doesn't work sadly. It constantly trys to update itself even though it is the new version and says "updating" when I connect a controller, but nothing happens

PC Port + n64/mayflash or 8Bit Do 64
Did you find any way to resolve this? I'm having a similar situation wondering how to get an 8bitdo 64 controller to work in the PD PC port. It's really weird. The game recognizes the controller in menus but, as soon as you leave that interface and try to move around, it doesn't recognize the binds

How do I get the C-buttons to work on an NSO N64 controller?
I'm in the same boat as OP and can confirm trying to set binds with a 64 controller is a frustrating experience. Understandably, controllers like the NSO or 8bitdo 64 pads are rare, but it would be great if RA would make the process easier. It sees the controller with the right name, but all of the

Best ways to make your living-room gaming PC feel like a console (when it’s also your daily driver)?
I have a very similar setup. Do you know if the 8bitdo 64 controller works with reWASD? It's about only thing you listed I'm not using as I use JoyXoff for everything, but that particular controller does not work with it. Its the only retro system I use a particular controller for. Instead going bac
