Please help a total noob choose a good manual coffee grinder

Manual hand grinders are great for most uses and often better value for your money than electric grinders BUT they can be a chore for espresso. Hand grinding for espresso quickly became a nuisance for me. For all other brew methods they’re great! If you’ll be doing espresso often I’d recommend going

Profile cup Xultra vs Kultra?

They’ll be quite similar. K has 48mm heptagonal burrs X has 40mm heptagonal burrs They’re so similar that any superiority between the two might be down to the coffee you’re grinding. You might prefer one coffee with the X, and the K might bring out a quality in a different coffee that you really lik

Just got a induction moka pot and ordered whole beans, any recs for hand grinders and recipes?

Easy way to start is with, well, no recipe at all. Do like it says in the booklet. “Weigh” the beans by just mostly filling the basket, then dump those into your grinder. Water from the tap up to the safety valve. Put it on medium-ish heat and let it run. Advice I got from Bialetti: run two cycles o

What’s the best coffee maker that’s actually worth buying in 2026? any suggestion pls?

I know not everybody can or wants to put so much effort into coffee, but would at least consider a V60 with some form of grinder (I like my 1zpresso X Ultra, but there are many many others that are great. Probably go with the 1zpresso Q Air or the Kingrinder P1 if it needs to be cheaper). This is of

How good is the InstaCuppa Electric Burr Coffee Grinder? Also, is this bottomless portafilter worth it for a Delonghi Dedica Duo EC890?

The K6 is far better than the k2 as it has an external adjustment system. It will be very easy to dial in shots with an external adjustment system. If you are will to spend 20k on a grinder than you have a couple of really good options. If you solely want to do espresso then the 1zpresso J-Ultra is

Really Confused between grinders😵‍💫 timemore c2 ,c3, s ,esp ????

If you don't make espresso, the esp is eliminated, I have had the c3pro and I liked it, it is comfortable to grind and it is not big. Now I have a 1Zpresso x ultra but the price goes up a lot in comparison. The c3pro will be good for French and mocha. C2 is an older model, especially for espresso an

Stretch a little more and get the 1Zpresso J Ultra probably the best espresso focused manual grinder in the non/semi professional range. Fixcoffee will give you a 10% discount on your first purchase. It’s listed at 19k and so it will work out to 17k for you. The K Ultra is a superior all round grind

Recommend me hand grinder

I use the 1Zpresso X ultra. Love it. I travel with it and use it for moka, pour over, aero press. Its probably overkill and a bit expensive but it's a great tool. I used to use an oxo conical burr electric grinder and I really prefer the x ultra.

Was trying pour over style, not pour ALL over. Wallet not shown for scale.

I got the Opus for espresso & Aeropress and use the 1zpresso X-Ultra for pour over(didn't have time to style this pic so it's not pictured). Even after getting that $20 accordian accessory on the top, it still has pretty bad retention and getting in white shows all the loose grinds everywhere. a lit
