WHAT am I doing wrong??? [Breville Bambino]

To me it looks like you need to grind finer. If your grinder is already on its lowest / finest setting then it's time for a new grinder. Same thing happened to me. I didn't want to buy another electric grinder because it's just me that uses it on my household I went with the 1zpresso J ultra manual

J-Ultra vs Weber Workshops — Is it actually worth it? [No budget]

Once you get great grinders, it's mostly about preference. Not "this much better". I would absolutely encourage you to try 1Zpresso hand grinders if the idea of hand grinding is tolerable. Some people will never consider it. I have over $10k worth of grinders at home and use a 1zpresso as much as an

At which price point does it get better than an 1zpresso J-Ultra?

This whole concept of things being better/ worse just doesn't hold true most of the time. Once you get to a certain point in coffee equipment, there isn't really such thing as better or worse. Just different. I don't really know what you expect to get out of the J ultra that you don't get out of you

Gifted an incredible machine but can’t afford a top tier grinder to match…what’s good enough? [$250]

If you ever wanted a portable manual grinder, the 1Zpresso J ultra is better than "good enough". I use mine 3 times a day for the last year and am so impressed. I don't even use my high end electric grinder anymore. It's never a bad idea to have a manual hand grinder as backup anyway.

Would the X Ultra add anything to my collection?

I’ve had an X-Pro S for over 2 years (predecessor to the X-Ultra). I love the grinder. It’s a fantastic all-purpose grinder (as is the K). The burrs were slightly changed when they came out with the X-Ultra, but you get more for your $$$ with the Ultra - it has a magnetic catch cup and comes with a

Do High End Grinders Really Make A Difference?

Yes! 1000%. I bought the J-ultra 2 years ago with the same question. It was the best coffee decision I have made. It takes some getting used to get proper grind sizes for different beans and brewing methods. But a good grinder will make any bean taste better. It took a lot of the bitterness away fro

Is it good? [1zpresso J ultra hand grinder]

I chose the J-Ultra because it offered the finest adjustment of any similar manual grinder. The steps are twice as fine as the JX-pro I used previously and works for all the various coffees I pull shots from. The external grind adjustment is easy to use. Everything takes a little longer than an elec

Please help a total noob choose a good manual coffee grinder

Manual hand grinders are great for most uses and often better value for your money than electric grinders BUT they can be a chore for espresso. Hand grinding for espresso quickly became a nuisance for me. For all other brew methods they’re great! If you’ll be doing espresso often I’d recommend going

Which grinder?

More clarity for both methods is the X. Not that the J isn’t a good grinder. It’s great. It produces a more traditional, espresso, that has a rich, syrupy aftertaste and it’ll emphasize the more traditional coffee flavors (cocoa, caramel, nuts). I have an X-Pro and a J-Ultra and I use both for espre

Finally purchased a Robot

I got rid of my Jura z7 and zero regrets. I loved the simplicity of the Jura, but the coffee cannot compare. It is also the polar opposite - you will learn about every aspect of making espresso with the Robot - I would suggest even using a hand grinder at first to fully appreciate every step of the
