Best espresso machines to buy in 2026? [$500]
unfortunately, you kinda really do need a grinder. i tried doing preground early on and it’s just not the same at all. you can get it to be fine but it’ll be like getting an espresso from a mcdonalds. if you’re looking for a super cheap (relatively speaking) way to get into things i would go with wi

Gifted an incredible machine but can’t afford a top tier grinder to match…what’s good enough? [$250]
If you ever wanted a portable manual grinder, the 1Zpresso J ultra is better than "good enough". I use mine 3 times a day for the last year and am so impressed. I don't even use my high end electric grinder anymore. It's never a bad idea to have a manual hand grinder as backup anyway.

What grinder do you use, why, and how much did it cost?
I picked up a 1ZPresso J-Ultra for €159 during Amazon Prime Days. I’d heard it’s one of the best manual grinders for espresso, so I had to give it a shot. It takes about a minute to grind, but honestly, I enjoy the hands-on feel, it’s all part of the ritual for me. Since I only make coffee for mysel

Is $100 a month on coffee shops high or low
Agreed about people making it complicated. Though the burr grinder is really important. I got a used Delonghi for $30 and a J-Ultra 1Zpresso for $200 earlier this year. That grinder is cool ‘cause you don’t have to do any puck prep.

K-Ultra, too difficult to grind
Big spectrum indeed. (I know you know all this, but I liked to add from here for OP.) I have two grinders, 1Zpresso J-Ultra and Mazzer Omega X Soft Burrs. You can’t go dead slow on a hand grinder anyways, you need muscle through it and try to keep a reasonable rpm. In my J-Ultra some dark roast are

Give me reasons to buy a hand coffee bean grinder [>=$200]
1Zpresso J Ultra. Good quality grinder. Doesn't break (at least easily) Portable if you care about that. I don't know if you really need it with your niche zero but grinding coffee by hand is actually kind of fun and a good little workout without being as hard as some people make out.

I cannot stand my Fellow Opus I need advice..
Can confirm. Got a J-Ultra as my travel hand grinder and to fill in if my electric goes out. It’s great and had great results already. If I didn’t pull lots of shots for friends and was mostly just making coffee for myself, I’d have no issues using it exclusively.

Finally purchased a Robot
I got rid of my Jura z7 and zero regrets. I loved the simplicity of the Jura, but the coffee cannot compare. It is also the polar opposite - you will learn about every aspect of making espresso with the Robot - I would suggest even using a hand grinder at first to fully appreciate every step of the

Manual Espresso Grinder: Kinu M47 Classic vs 1zpresso J Ultra [No Budget]
I am extremely happy with my recent purchase of a J-ultra. It's about 30 seconds to grind the 17-19g I use in a shot. 1zpresso build quality is very nice, comes with a case and cleaning tools, super easy to use and the adjustment steps are suitably fine so you can dial in a ristretto or a normal sho

best budget grinder [$200]
I have bought two Baratza Encore ESPs. Returned the first one and am returning the second one tomorrow. I would NOT say that it's not a good grinder. Many people seem to love it. Just not for me. My first one may have been defective: I couldn't get the same grind out of it twice in a row. This secon
