X99 “spare parts” build

I posted earlier showing the early stages of the build, it’s now up and tested and I’m pretty happy with the results. The ultimate goal is to try to bodge in REBAR and add my Arc a380 in one of the many x16 slots.

I used Rufus to get w11 installed and I already had a spare key because I expected to

Living Room PC Build Help

The build by u/gamblodar is good, but this one will perform much better at 4k switched 9600x for slightly slower 7500f switched 9060xt for much faster 7900GRE (especially in the 4k and 1440p environment the gap is noticable) switched SSD for less overkill unit switched cpu cooler for something less

Stock intel cooler replacement for old PC

These won't be that much quieter. Why not get a standard tower cooler, like an Assassin X? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/q6H7YJ/thermalright-assassin-x-120-refined-se-6617-cfm-cpu-cooler-ax120-se-d3

Building a PC for my Dad, this is what I came up with. Budget $1500. Will this work?

I would change PSU to Montech Century II 850W which is $20 cheaper to get a 9600X for $10. It’s a more power efficient CPU which makes your single tower CPU cooler a better option. I would then swap the cooler to a Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE to eliminate RGB and it’s $2 cheaper. You coul

Need A Double-Check On Build List & Upgrade Path Advice

This is "get it at Microcenter" version - and it can be an even better deal if you're willing to go open-box or refurbished on the GPU, location depending. Here are the reasons I moved away from the pieces you chose. The CPU, RAM, and MBD come in a bundle they sell for $830. So, the ram speed/latenc

Help building a cutesy PC from scratch??

Suggestions below to get you a good multi-purpose pc in a white and pink case (with white internals), along with a 27" 1440p IPS panel monitor and white peripherals for £1914. CPU: the Intel 250K Plus is a good multi-purpose cpu - good single core performance for games and graphic design/drawing, wh

Are these specs good?

Get a bigger SSD. Running games off the HDD will give you terrible performance. The absolute bare minimum size SSD I would suggest going for is 512gb, but really you should be looking at 1TB or more. Nothing wrong with using the HDD for backups, but don't be running games off of that. You're also ov

What mother board should I use for this build. Also is there any way to shave money off this build

Monitor: refurbished on eBay from Acer officially refurbishing has insane deals. Power supply: get an MSI a750gls or Montech Century 2 850w instead, or Sama G750/850 if it has to be a white PSU too. Don't buy Windows. You can get cheaper white cases, that include fans. Like the sama 3509 Get a white

Wanting to start building my own gaming PC along the lines of this build list - any feedback?

The 9800X3D draw significantly less power under gaming load (half the power of the 14900K under the same gaming loads as shown in these Techpowerup measurements) - so the cooler should be fine, though there are typically less expensive better performing coolers. Suggestions below that give you a bet
