First Build - $3.5K budget

The NH-D15 is a massive waste of money. Something like a Thermalright PS120SE will cost about 1/4th as much and perform about as well, plenty good for a 9800X3D I’d consider a cheaper board depending on your needs, you probably don’t need any of the features of a B850 over a cheaper B650 RAM pricing

Building a PC before prices get any higher, hoping for feedback

A few thoughts: For gaming, there’s no benefit to paying more for an X870 chipset over B850. You’re paying for extra data lanes that have no use in gaming. Both boards have PCIe 5 to the first x16 slot, so there’s your possible future use. If you’re gaming, no point to an HDD unless you’re playing g

Rate my pc build

Some of the components in your list seem too expensive. Suggestions below to keep the 9800X3D and 5070 Ti while upgrading to a 2TB PCIe 4 NVME and a 27" 1440p QD-OLED monitor for $2813. CPU Cooler; Switched to the non-EVO version of the Phantom Spirit that will provide essentially the same performan

help

A few comments: You don't need extra thermal paste - what comes with the cooler is perfectly fine. You'd chosen a small form factor mITX motherboard that is both expensive (just for its form factor) and not necessary in a mid-tower ATX case. You can get newer better featured ATX motherboards for les

First time builder - finalizing my list

A few suggestions to upgrade the CPU (for gaming) plus some other minor improvements for about the same price. CPU: The 7600X3D will provide better gaming performance than the 9600X. CPU Cooler: The Phantom Spirit provides slightly better cooling performance than the Peerless Assassin, for less cost

Build me a pure performance PC ($2000)

This PC has a 7700X3D CPU. It has 3D V-Cache for incredibly fast memory access on the CPU. I don't recommend water cooling for a new builder because air cooling is plenty for consumer CPUs, and they're much easier to maintain (no pump or liquid). This Thermalright cooler is incredible value. The AM5
