Thanks! A Sony ZV-E10 II. It’s been a fun and practical lil’ guy.

Is it still advisable to invest/buy a pre-owned mirrrorless camera at 60k despite having a capable phone to take photos. Will use mainly for travel. If yes, fujifilm or sony for a beginner? Looking forward to your insights. Thank you 😊

A capable phone and a 60k mirrorless are two completely different tools. The mirrorless gives you interchangeable lenses, better low light performance, more control over depth of field, and significantly more flexibility in post processing. For serious travel photography the difference is real. But

ZVE10 + sigma 18-50mm or ZVE10 II with the kit lens???

Personally, I'd pick up the ZV-E10 II with the kit lens, then pick up the Sigma lens down the road. In fact, that's exactly what I did. 🤣

Sony fx30 overkill for (almost) first camera?

My fx30 was my first proper camera and it definitely was way more camera than I needed, but I grew into it. I knew it was the camera I wanted, so I adapted to it, but it took about a year’s worth of study and practice with concepts like exposure, bit rate, frame rate, shutter angle, color grade/s-lo

Casual shooter tempted to upgrade to full frame. For those who did it, was it worth it?

Hobbyist/semi-professional photographer and casual videographer here, I recently upgraded my zv-e10 ii to a zv-e1 for full-frame. You’re not going to get more creative because you’re got better gear. If anything, being limited by your gear would push you to be more creative with your shots and compo

Need help with lighting in the studio. What can we do to improve things?

For video, I would solve grain first before buying a pile of random lights. The ZV-E10 II will look much cleaner if you can keep ISO low, so you want continuous lights with enough output to run something like 1/50 shutter, f/4-ish, and the lowest ISO you can get away with. Two small panels can work

New A7s III firmware update 5.0

The one that gets me most is still no variable shutter adjustment for flicker in video. Even the ZV-E10 Mark II has that. It can't be a feature that Sony's gate keeping so I am at a loss there.

FX3 alternatives for beginners

ZV-E10 II may be an option assuming that budget is only for the body and not lenses and accessories
