I'm rarely proud of a B/W edit, but this one I am - After/Before

It's just because of the default rendering of DxO, its contrast curve just happens to pull most of the image down. Here is what the default rendering from Capture One looks like : It's still a bit dark but it was definitely the intent. I took this shot with a Sigma fp, and most experienced owners o

Why Use a Rangefinder?

historically the biggest reason to have them have been that they are just small cameras with small lenses while still producing the quality as good as other 35mm cameras. its still partly true to this day. the only competing cameras with rangefinders are either cameras without an evf and often lacki

Camera for scanning hi-res 120

So I’ve scanned 120 with three cameras, a Panasonic S5II, a Sigma FP L (same sensor as A7RV), and a Leica SL2. If I’m brutally honest with you, the A7RV isn’t overkill..in fact…it is not enough to properly reproduce grain for massive prints. You want a Lumix S1R in high-res mode. (It is the same as

What do you think of this new Cinema camera?

I shoot on Sigma FP L, pretty much the smallest full frame cinema camera existing, the autofocus on that thing is non existent, but it has electronic contacts for modern lenses, unlike this GoPro, I just don't know how your friend is going to use this thing.

Lumix mig be launching a 61MP camera(s1r2e?)

The bigger sensor means lower readout speed so - a bunch of the video features perhaps not being there? What would make sense is the s9r. There's already the sigma fp-l as a proof of concept. And with ibis would be my perfect camera.

Beautiful things

Insane combo. It reminds me of the Sigma Fp, a camera I kinda want just because it looks cool 😅

Smallest non-s9 l mount?

The Sigma FP and FP L are both smaller than the S9, but they have some quirks. No IBIS is a big one. Bad autofocus is another. I love my FP L, but it’s a very “special” little camera. Everyone saying there are no other options, need to google.

I am founding a mirror less camera for old lens.

What's your budget? I love my Sigma fp. It's unusual for a digital camera but it's tiny, got a beautiful sensor, and really seamless/streamlined workflow for focusing manual lenses. The main thing you want is manual focus assist features. You want to be able to zoom into the picture in your screen t

Sigma fp vs Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K Full Frame, need advice from people who've shot with both

I have a Sigma FP, as much as I love it to bits, love the image, the flexibility, the low light performance, I'd only use it for personal projects rather than recommend it for other productions. The CDNG file sizes are ridiculously large, I've read of people using slimraw to shrink them down with li
