After seeing Cooler Master's AM4 cooler compatibility chart, which completely fucks over Hyper 212 owners, even though the MasterAir Pro 4 is literally a 212 Evo with a black top plate, I decided to ask CryOrig's customer service if they had any info on AM4 compatibility... and I got more than I exp

This is what i put together, $1000 is a really awkward price point but what listed should give you a decent starting point. In terms of upgradability the main thing would be the cpu, the 5500 isn't really that great, would upgrade that to a 5600x or 5800xt/5800x3d when you are able to, keep in mind

The problem with the first list is that using a 125W CPU with a basic motherboard will likely cause VRM thermal throttling, preventing you from getting the full performance you paid for. Regarding configuration 2: while AM4 was legendary, in 2026 it's a 'dead-end' investment. Most B550 boards share

I have a few questions regarding your CPU cooler, motherboard, SSD, GPU, and PSU choices. About the CPU cooler, why do you insist on the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition when you can get the significantly better Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB for less than 10 more Canadian Dollars?

Was deciding for a cooler for my CPU, and the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 (Black variant) seems to comfortably fall in budget whilst going aesthetically with my build as well, was wondering if anyone could tell me if it will be good for the CPU, using 6-7 fans in the case and ambient in worst case scenar

It's a very good parts list. There are a few changes I would suggest making tho. Firstly the 7600X and the 9600X are very similar in price, so I would say it's better to go for the 9600X. For cooling, a 9600X does not produce that much heat, so you don't need an AIO, a cheap single tower air cooler
