Are vintage NS-10s becoming a case of diminishing returns in 2026?
There is a difference with speaker design and EQ. The NS-10's and auratones are closed back speakers. Makes them really TIGHT in the transient response but no real lowend. The Auratones play with only one midrange speaker and no crossover. It sound really meh but its really nice for listening to mas

Mac Mini setup
Nice. I’m using the Sterlings sideways on adjustable stands. No sub, yet excellent sound. Have been tempted to get Yamaha HS8 many times over the last 4 years but every time I compare the sound/price quotient I can’t justify it.
