I have a small space for my setup and i tested several monitors. I ended up with the yamaha HS8. They are affordable amd they work for me for electronic music

What’s a mixing habit in Ableton you had to unlearn to finally get better results?

I second that. When I switched from 30€ speakers to okay-ish monitors (Yamaha HS8) and played around with an equalizer I was "oh.. fuck.. I can actually hear the changes".

It's All a Matter of Perspective

Audiophiles are the worst. “I just want to hear it the way the artist intended.” Go buy some Yamaha HS8’s and a decent dac, done. That’s what they probably referenced them through.

Do you think there’s value in spaces dedicated to listening to full albums or private listening rooms?

I think most people who would be willing to pay for it are also willing to pay for a good setup at home. I absolutely love kicking back and listening to a full album at home. I have a pair of Yamaha HS8 speakers with the matching subwoofer and it sounds pretty dang good for not a crazy expense. I'd

I just paid off my mortgage, gosh , it feels good.

Cheaper: Krk speakers Mid tier: Yamaha HS-8 Higher end: Adam Mid fields You can go way further than this, but I work on a combination of the cheap and mid tier options.

Dependendo do

Home studio speakers

I have a pair of Yamaha HS8 monitors and matching sub. I'm no pro but I love how they sound.

Last time I posted on here I got a lot of flack for having a Crosley

This turntable is decent, don’t listen to the snobs. I have a Yamaha HS8 Powered speaker with mine and it sounds good. 👍
