My Steven Slate VSX experience so far
First I listen on my Yamaha HS8’s. When I first got those monitors, I was blown away by the bass. After this journey, it’s clear to my ears they are near field monitors and only that. It’s also clear I need to treat my room. Since standing wave acoustic interference can create nodes (where lower, re

Home studio speakers
I have a pair of Yamaha HS8 monitors and matching sub. I'm no pro but I love how they sound.

Shout out to this amazing person
You sure youre getting an accurate mix with those Krks? I’m Not knocking your talent I’m just saying. I produce music and I started with Krks, they don’t accurately depict the low end frequencies. It’s mostly mid end and flat/pitchy high end. Yamaha HS8’s would give you a more accurate mix, Unless y

focusrite speakers
Yamaha HS5’s are within budget and a nice sounding set of monitors. If he wants to later on, he could also add the matching Yamaha sub to them for more bass. I use their bigger brothers l, the HS8. Whilst neither the HS8 or HS5 is truly a ‘reference’ speaker (a speaker with a very flat response curv

Tipps for Yamaha hs8
Yamaha HS** speakers are great! But they don't sound good or conventional. They are like the RAW file from a camera. So flat that they sound "bad" compared to a desktop speaker. This makes them good as a reference speaker in combination with other sources like desktop speakers, headphones, earbuds,

Are these speakers a good option for a non treated small room o 4 m
I played various songs and didn't realise how badly mastered some actually were. Good mastering shows on these. I have the Yamaha hs8's and they sound nice and bassy. You'll like them.

Yamaha HS8s
I have HS8’s and originally paired them with the KRK 10 inch sub. Last year I switch to the Yamaha sub and it’s better. Wider frequency range, playback sounds tighter, and seems a lot flatter which is good. Recommended.

Compact setups and bright monitoring speakers, bright sound fatigueness
Inline eq would be the easiest and cheapest option. Bypass button is a must so you can swap back to flat without changing all your settings every time. The Yamaha tweeter is intentionally bright for mixing (producing not djing). It's meant to help you catch all the little details you might miss othe

What studio monitors to buy for small apartment?
The Yamaha HS5 lack bottom of run without a subwoofer. But in a small apartment, you want to run something that doesn’t vibrate your neighbors’ walls. So it’s a tough choice between doing what’s best for your production and doing what makes you less hated in your apartment complex. I’d go with HS8 a
